    What is unconsitutional? Be precise.

Obama is not my messiah. You have no idea who I even voted for. But it does illustrate how intelligent you are by how quickly you jump to name calling.

This bill is gonna pass whether you like it or not, and you can cry all day long because Obama doesn't need your permission, or the Republican's either.

Your intelligence is illustrated with every name you call me. :hw:

It's not whether he likes it or not, but whether the majority of voters like it or not. Judging by the results in VA, NJ and MA the answer is "or not". And it's that like it or not attitude that will end up sinking the Dems again in Nov.

and isn't that statement, "This bill is gonna pass whether you like it or not, and you can cry all day long because Obama doesn't need your permission, or the Republican's either." the height of ignorance and hubris? these leftbots act like they've elected a Galactic Emperor or something.
  7. CanIGetAWutWut Full Member

The Dems are going to take a big hit in November, no doubt about that. But that really doesn't matter because even with a super majority the Dems weren't getting anything done.

Secondly, Obama has 3 more years before he is up for election again. Reagan had worse approval ratings than Obama has now, and he got re-elected by a landslide. I think he is a very smart politician. He beat the Clinton machine, and unless the Republicans can come up with a decent candidate, he will get re-elected.

Third, never underestimate the stupidity of Americans. They re-elected Bush.
  8. CanIGetAWutWut Full Member

I'm not a leftbot. I hate both parties equally and I didn't elect Obama. The electoral college of America did. It is not ignorance or hubris. It is cold reality. This bill is gonna pass and there isn't a damn thing you or any Republican can do. If you can't see that, then you are the ignorant one.

I don't like the health care bill any more than you do. But I can think for myself and don't need to spew talking points to argue against it.

That's what happens in a majority rules system.

Compared to Bush blackmailing them into passing the Patriot Act, unread, by saying, 'sign this or we're going to crush you politically', Bush would appear to be the Galactic Emperor you speak of.

Crushing the Constitution without even reading the bill might be a bit irresponsible. I've always wondered how long in advance the Patriot Act was prepared.

    Yup....no questions in there.... :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I find these two passages interesting.

So, that transparency he ran on is out the window? No more backroom deals? Now we can't see the bill until it's been voted on?

So, he's just given up on everything he stood for. Washington was ugly before he got there, so don't blame him for running an ugly show. I can almost hear him going "Hate the game, not the playa! I'm just a squirrel tryin' to get a nut, yo!"

"Change", "hope", and a "new type of politics" are totally gone from his vocabulary. He's either faced an enormous wake-up call in the past year or he was lying all along out of sheer power-lust and ambition.
  12. garethrogue Full Member

clearly they were all rhetorical questions cause Obama kept rambling on, staying on track with his stupid talking points.
  13. NCMike06 Full Member

Which is why the all the moonbats (like GayGay) have their panties in knots......Baier wouldn't let him get away with it.
  14. CanIGetAWutWut Full Member

There were a lot of answers, too. What did you expect him to do, just answer yes and no? Tell me this was not a loaded question:

Obama does not have an overwhelming majority of anything. Congress is just a bunch of fucking idiots that he had too much faith in. That is Obama's failure, if anything.
  15. CanIGetAWutWut Full Member

You obviously saw a different interview than I did. It was a shit interview that was undeserving of Baier.

Tim Russert would have done a much better job.
  16. guayuque Full Member

Still waiting garetherouge... What precisely is unconstitutional? You made the charge, so let's have it...
  17. mr wrong Full Member

The outcome is irrelevant. Did the GOP use the procedure or not?
  18. garethrogue Full Member

"If the bill is so good for all of us, why all the intimidation, arm twisting, seedy deals, and parliamentary trickery necessary to pass a bill, when you have an overwhelming majority in both houses and the presidency?"

President Garethrogue: We don't see these deals as arm twisting. We see ourselves as doing what we can to improve the bill and give members of congress something to take home to their constituants. If we can fund new hospitals in states that need them or better provide for disaster recovery, and those additions win votes, then we see no reason why we should not go ahead with the "deals" as you would put them.

Wow, I'm better at this then the bumbling fool, Barack Obama.

really? 59 seats in the senate, one away from a super majority, isn't an overwhelming majority? If the dems had created a bill that their own god damn party could have supported then reconsclliation wouldn't have been needed because it would have drawn atleast 1 vote from a moderate republican like Snowe.

That was an emailed question, and identified as such. If its not Obama's failure, why is he begging individual reps in the last few days with 'My Presidency will be ruined if it fails' ?

oh lol did he say something to me? that guy has been on ignore for a long time. thanks for quoting it Mike.

I guess this guy has never heard of article 1 section 7 clause 2 of the constitution. After all, the constitution is a new concept that has only been in effect since...oh...1789.

    From the Fox article:

  24. CanIGetAWutWut Full Member

First, why do you suppose Baier choose that one question out of the 18,000 he received? I know it was an email question, but there is a reason he chose that one.

Secondly, Obama is not begging, he is strong-arming. It is something he should have learned how to do early on, but he didn't have a lot of executive experience when he came to office. It took him a year to figure it out.

And third, Obama has failed on this one, there is no doubt about that. He had a golden opportunity to pass whatever he wanted when he first came to office, but he failed to take advantage of the initial popularity he had and the "crisis" he inherited. It is very much like what Bush did by squandering away his popularity after 9/11 by pushing the Iraq war.

Obama could have had a single payer system, a public option ... whatever he wanted. He didn't know how to play the Washington game and now he is just pushing something through so he doesn't fuck up his legacy. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Still waiting. What precisely, in your won words now, is unconstitutional?
