dude, i threw a handful of softballs but i was hard on him on other things. how many times can i ask the guy the same question? if he's not answering, he's not answering. after about 3 times asking the same thing different ways, i moved on to try something else. i'm also trying to keep the show entertaining.

i also spoke to tim throughout the commercials & got nothing. when i asked him what's the difference between O&A and Bubba because I see them as equals deserving equal respect / pay all I got was they are just 2 different shows. i said I know they are different shows but what makes O&A worth their own channel & million while bubba is worth 200k? obviously sirius see's one as being more valuable than the other. i can't believe one has more listeners or produces more content. he said it's like blackberry & ipod, they are just different. i looked at him like, WTF? after that I didn't see the point in trying again on air. i clearly was getting nowhere.

i guess you missed me saying on air how the phone computer kept crashing. it was a black screen for 90% of the show. i could see who was on the phone nor did i have any way to pick up on the calls. i jokingly accused tim of sabotaging the equipment so people couldn't call in & bitch about bubba's deal.

maybe i wasn't very clear. i do try to downplay the technical problems & go on like nothing is wrong but the computer system was FUCKED. at the end when i did get to calls, jason was just picking them at random. i had no idea what they wanted to talk about. they would just tell me a name in the headphones & pickup on them for me.

turns out he was texting bubba. he said bubba kept texting him thru the show. i wish i would have read them over his shoulder.




he's what we learned (it's not much)

tim has not looked for anyone to fill bubba's spot because he is still trying to get a bubba deal. he hasn't even casually approached anyone. (this is the only fact i think i uncovered)

tim has not looked at the rest of the channels because until he knows what's happening w/ afternoons, it's hard to look at anything else.

Howard's vacations are basically the same. (whatever that means)

of all the times i've talked to him about bringing back the firday show, this is the first time he didn't flat out say there's no way because when we did that show people didn't like it. though it wasn't a yes, it was the most positive response i've ever gotten.

sirius.com is working on a new interactive online schedule (that is going to blow you away)

he did say that bubba has not burned any bridges & getting him back is still their intention

said he was not interested in a jackie wrapup show wrapup, working w/ ETM, or another UDL show.



I asked all of the following but got only 'tim speak' in return

would not discuss if & when howard will go to 3 days. i asked several times

would not discuss contracts or money

would not answer if howard is contracted to work till 10a / allowed to end the show before 10a. he wouldn't even acknowledge that howard had ended the show at 10 everyday this week or the wrapup @ 11. he just said, the show is as long as it is.

would not discuss ferral's contract, when it was up or if he was locked in for the next 5 years

would not discuss why sirius seems to feel O&A are more valuable than bubba

had nothing to say about artie other than that's up to howard. when i asked if there was money in the budget in case howard wanted to bring back artie or another person, he side stepped the discussion all together.

would not confirm or deny bubba's $200k offer

would not discuss what was discussed at the sim card future of radio meeting or the next 5 years meeting.

would not say 1 show / talent that he'd like to bring to the channels other than to say, we love bubba & who would you like?

would not point out any spinoff shows he'd like to change, make bigger, move, etc.

yeah, i can't beat him into answering

i opened the show w/ that. then asked about the 3 day week & vacations.

it appears that you not only don't listen to the show, you also didn't listen tonight. absolutely EVERYTHING you have listed here was asked at least 3 times each. every single thing. one of us would ask, when we got nothing, I'd reword it. when i got nothing again, I'd ask something similar. you can be mad he didn't have answers but you can't be mad that i didn't ask because I DID.

tim should have postponed the show until he was ready to talk. there wasn't 1 thing on my list of topics (1st post) that tim was prepared to answer. everything in that list was asked. if there was anything not included in that list, I had been asking for topics all week & you should have posted it. but like I said, i asked EVERYTHING you have listed. maybe you only listened to the end of the show when we were tired of asking tim the same questions only to get the runaround.
