FAVORITE MOMENT FROM THE WEEK - what's your favorite show moment from the past week?

    HOWARD STERN ON THE ROAD
    - As a listener, how to you like the away live in front of an audience shows?
    - Are you disappointed that Howard hasn't done any road shows since coming to Sirius?
    - The film festival was close to a road show but it's not really the same as several days out of town. People come into town & party the whole time. It's becomes a show regular / wack packer class reunion of sorts. have you ever made it to one of the road shows? if so, share your stories / memories. If not, what's your excuse?
    - If god willing, Howard re-signs and Sirius decides to promo it with a Vegas show, are you there?

    BEST OF SPECIALS
    - What would you LIKE to hear as a "Best Of" special?
    - Who would be a good host for "Best Of"?
    - What is the most obscure bit you can think of that never gets played on "Best Of"?

    FORMER CAST MEMBERS
    - With this week of classic Stern you heard lots of KC, Stuttering John, & Jackie. With the Stooges special we got some Billy West. Who's the most missed part former of the show?

THE END IS NEAR OR THE FUN WILL GO ON ?
    - I had several people talk to me this week about Howard retiring looking for my opinion on what I think he'll do. Well, what do you think?

    - Howard suggested summers off & 3 days a week, could the fans handle it? Would sirius lose subscribers in droves? With this vacation right on top of the 4th of July break and the labor Day one right around the corner, it's the perfect time to discuss it. how would you handle Howard's summers off? How about the 3 day work week?
    - What other programming could they fill the days with? There certainly seems like room for more live Bubba. His latest contract is up at the same time.
    - How about moving the midnight shows to earlier in the day w/ a repeat at midnight? is it needed?
    - How about giving the 7pm shows a repeat the next morning like the SFRT gets? is it needed?
    - new programming ideas?
    - With mondays & fridays off, what could be done to improve fridays? what would you want on mondays? maybe that's the new home for miserable men.

    SHOW NOTES

Go straight to the super fan roundtable forum - www.TheFanShow.com

You can email the show at SuperFanRoundtable@gmail.com

CALLING INTO THE SHOW: When calling into the show, there's no need to give shout outs to SFN or your friends on SFN. We don't have a ton of time so please don't waste any of it. We already have topics setup. Please be a good caller and respond to the topics. Thanks 1-888-STERN-101

GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. Once you've been around for awhile and see how the show works, ask to be on and pick a open date. The schedule can be found here. We have 4 people on each show and I try to make at least one of them a brand new person who's never been on. You can make your requests here in the Super Fan Roundtable forum or you can email them here.

GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. We're in studio 21 on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building which is on the corner of 49th & 6th. (Google MAP) The building spans all the way over to 48th & there's a back entrance so you can get to the lobby from either 48th or 49th.

Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. Our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in. Go to the security desk downstairs to get a pass. They'll tell you where to go from there.

If you are driving, you can park across the street from Hurley's Bar. If you go to Hurley's and get a drink or food, they will validate the parking slip bringing the price down to $18. Here's a map. Point A is the parking garage & point B is the back entrance to the McGraw Hill building. It's a short walk thru Times Square.

This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you wouldn't do when stopping by the bank. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. If you see a celebrity, please don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo.

You are a guest of the show. That means you are answering questions & joining in on a discussion. You are not the host asking questions or interviewing the guests & callers. You are not doing standup and thought it's great when you are funny, it's bad when you try to force punchlines into the discussion. Everyone will get a chance to talk so you don't battle the other guests or callers for airtime. When everyone is talking over one another, it just sounds bad.

You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.

    DO NOT sign the wall.

You may take photos in the studio when were are off air but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.

All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK.

    Oh boy.

With the yuks and revelry of this thread so far, I can only imagine if it's a two-week vacation.

How about asking if people liked the STOOGES special? It debuted on Friday, the day after last week's panel.

    Hello everyone :)
  20. WillowGlen Full Member

In the new financial situation of where what Howard doesnt spend he keeps he will NEVER do a show from anywhere but his chair in the studio.

And why does everyone that ever calls in always have to prove that they are some kind of great fan by announcing how long they have been listening. From the callers you would think Howard hasnt made one new fan in 20 years.

Howard is all about "High quality prouct and would never try to make any cash of his fans like Limbaugh"

Yes because the last three years have been such great quality and a consumate pro like Howard would never sacrifice his radio show to make a buck of some shit product like say HowardTV?

Someone hang up on this asskissing fucktard.

Oh good more of the delusional "Howards going to re-sign" talk.

2001 they played a hand of blackjack for $100k. Not sure what it cost them with the insurance they bought, but compare that to the prizes now. Rarely 10k, usually 5k for a big contest. They are lucky to have $500 from Mangroomer or some movie.
