Since moving three years ago I've only gotten this message a few times, and for very brief moments, but the last few days it has been constant. Radio doesn't even play except for maybe 10 mins this morning. I haven't moved the boombox at all. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Mine started doing this yesterday, I changed antenna, hooked up my other radio, same results. I'm guessing something wrong with the bird.

It was out all morning for me but is working now. Hopefully just a hiccup.

mine is dead, dead, dead. They offered to send me a stratus 6 for 19.95 and give me three months free. They must be desperate.

If it's not the antenna cord then your receiver is dying.

Happened to my faithful Streamer Replay on Monday. I loved that radio. New Starmate from TSS Radio arrived today is up and running. Great service from those folks.

I get acquiring signal on a clear day in my car, with no buildings or trees over my antenna. Drives me crazy.

I have this issue several times a day. My radio is desk mounted and the antenna is in a fixed position with an unobstructed view of the correct portion of the sky. My aquiring singal message occurs several times per day, usually in the morning and again in the afternoon. It lasts for about 50 minutes and here's the interesting thing: the outage moves forward by a few minutes each day and ends a few minutes earlier also. It pisses me off because I am missing huge chuncks of the only show on Sirius that I listen to. Without Howard: no subscription.

I think it shows a lot about the company's thinking towards their customers when you get a message that says "acquiring signal" at the exact moment when you are not acquiring a signal.

TSS Taylor I went to radio shack to buy a new radio, the dummy kid didnt know his product and I am lost as to what will work with what subscription. All the boxes they had, said XM subscription required. The wife and I have two sirius subs and one internet. I want replay and pause in my truck, what do I need to get that isnt expensive, since it will probably break in a year anyways.

Satellite radio will never really catch on fully until they resolve this issue. Driving in the woods or going under a bridge is one thing but I've lost the signal in the desert without a cloud in the sky!! It's worse then AM radio.

i had a sirius sportster and the display crapped out. i got the XMp3i, and it's pretty awesome. the XM satellites and equip. just seem to be WAAAAAY better than the sirius stuff. i can even get a signal in my office -- couldn't get one with the sportster.

I have an issue my receiver beeps "preset stored" then turns the channel back to A1 preset. So if Howard 100 is my A1 but I am listening to NFL radio in a mid sentence the radio will turn itself back to A1. Well worth the hundreds of dollars I paid to have installed.

"Acquiring Signal" is SiriusXM corporate jargon which requires a translation. It means that you are NOT acquiring a signal.
