Activists Take Out Frustration on ... Ronald Reagan

Last Friday, an attaché of important gay people from Philadelphia made a trip to Washington D.C. as invited guests of President Barack Obama for the White House’s first-ever gay pride reception. There, they danced to the sounds of a Marine Corps band; they dined on crab cakes and canapés; they hand-delivered letters from concerned citizens like this 18-year old who has had four people close to him gunned down, and noted rhyming raconteur CA Conrad; and some of them took advantage of photo opportunities to give the late President Ronald Reagan the middle finger.

oh no, not the god of all republicans Reagan!!! I always wondered if there was a Reagan shrine in the lobby of Fox News that they all kneel and pray to before walking in.

Sometime in the future if this was a group that got caught flipping off a portrait of Obama the cries of "RACISTS!" would echo throughout every Liberal precinct in this country.

Why are you surprised? Do you expect anything better from lowlife scum like this? These are the types that our wonderful President holds in high regard. This is what they do. These are the people that piss and shit in your hallway when they're drunk. Who vandalize you car when they don't like a sticker on it. Scum.

They blame the results of their abhorrent lifestyle on Reagan. Typical leftist inability to accept responsibility. It's over 20 years since we've discovered that AIDS is 100% preventable, yet, new cases continue. Why? Because of irresponsibility.

I would take every fucking penny of AIDS research money and give it childhood cancer studies. Cover your dick, get blood tests of sexual partners, keep your dick in your pants until you are sure, and don't share needles. 100% prevention right there. What does it need more money?

    That's crazy talk

AIDS was identified in 1981, the year Reagan took office. His failure to address the epidemic and his silence for years was egregious. He never publicly uttered a word about it until 1987. No doubt fingers were flying for the thousands that had died by then. I'm not condoning the behavior of the activists. I think it's in extremely poor taste to behave that way in the WH. But it's not like Obama was in on the escapade or taking the pictures.

Politics and social agendas aside......is this the way adults should act in the White House?

154 are infected daily in the USA

Are saying those 154 people get due to no fault of their own?

Are you saying it's the fault of all 154 that get it?

I could say many things in response to that fucking nonsense. But here's a few......the condom breaks......rape......molestation.......cheating spouse......and on and on.

Not to mention being irresponsible does not mean you should suffer such a fate. What if a woman doesn't do self breast exams as often as she should, does that mean she deserves breast cancer?

The shortsightedness of some of the complete idiots here still continues to amaze me.

It's poor form to be sure but after all the people that died because Reagan ignored the impending AIDS crisis I don't blame them in the slightest. This is America after all and not a communist country where you're not allowed to speak your mind.

I agree it's poor form and I agree it's free country, but it wasn't exactly the bebbest way t get their point across........all it does is fire up the repukes and just clouds the actual issue.

Let me rephrase the thought.......if some guests came into your Mother's house and were pissed off at say your brother because he didn't treat them nicely; would it be OK for them to flip her off? Misdirected anger towards something that didn't have anything to do with the issue in the first place.
The White House and the painting didn't lead to the death of AIDS victims so why do these people have to disrespect the American symbol?
If they have a problem with Ronnie why disrespect the White House? Sure; be vocal about your issue, but why degrade the White House.
I don't really care too much for the Bushes or Obama but that doesn't mean if I go to the White House I'm going to shit on the floor of the Roosevelt Room.

I can assure you of this, that prank is going to cost the gays a lot of the fence sitters on the issue.

No, but it's the way Liberals act - see the "Occupy Wall Street" as a prime example.

No. It's the way some people act. There are assholes everywhere, in both parties, and their actions reflect on them, not liberals or gays or whatever.

Examples of idiocy from both sides are posted here all the time. It's usually good for a laugh, or fake outrage but in all fairness the actions of a few do not reflect the feelings of most.

I would never behave that way in the W.H. for any reason and I don't know anyone that would. Stop acting as if "liberals" are one giant organism that thinks and feels and moves as one.
