Understandable. I own a gun and it never leaves my house. I live in a part of the US where I have lived my whole 50 years never feeling threatened. I figure if I'm ever going to need it, it will be inside my house. I would never live anywhere that would take that one last bastion of protection away from me.

You know, I really have taken the lefts point of view seriously on this. I understand that when the right to bear arms was placed in the constitution it was a different world. There was no access to emergency services and people had to live next door to things that wanted to eat them. I also know that Americans have a history of glamorizing guns beyond their intended necessity. We had the Old West, Prohibition and now we have gangsta culture. It is what it is, and everyone would love to live in a world where that level of protection wasn't needed. But it is, until we all join hands, board the USS Enterprise and get the fuck out of here.

    Such paranoia and fear.

Funny.. I don't remember any Ginny flash mobs. Or Italians teens who shoot one another on a daily basis. Or assault old people and burn up kids. Actually, any Italian who did that wouldn't last long. Actually, it's portrayed negatively, frowned upon, and most Italians reject it passionately. We don't glorify it. Hence, why in one generation we are doctors, accountants, lawyers, traders, and own our own business and have made a success of ourselves.

None... A one room apartment, shitty car, cheap clothes and 3 meals a day is success there.
    Fuck that. Keep your socialism.

No.. Just deal with the illegal firearm situation. That's were 99% of the problem exists. When they're caught and locked up, they cry "racism!!!" and "Profiling!!!". When they're let out and kill someone, they cry "You're not doing enough!!!"

    It's a lose-lose situation.

Funny. People live longer, happier, healthier lives there. God forbid we try to achieve the same level of success in our society.

When did all italians elect you to speak for them? And as if there are not doctors, accountants, lawyers, traders and business owners and people that have made successes out of themselves in the black community and as if there are no longer italian thugs and gangsters. And you still wonder why you are seen as a racist around here.

Firearm might have been legal but the owner was fucking bonkers.

How did the two get together?

That's a bit of a stretch but the point is taken nevertheless. While I don't think drugs like heroin or meth should be legalized I don't think locking people up for possession of pot is a bit ridiculous.

Actually anyone who has a concealed carry weapons permit, owns a legal class 3 machine gun and lives in a state that allows class 3 weapons can carry it concealed.

With the proper permits, I can own a mac-10 machine pistol in NC and since I have a permit, I can carry concealed if I so desire.

    Shocking, isn't it? :D

And actually you would be correct.

The National Firearms Act was enacted in 1934 in response to gangs shooting up law-enforcement officers with automatic Thompson sub-machine guns, sawed off shotguns and Browning automatic rifles.

Since then such weapons are known as NFA weapons and are subject to special taxes and registration. Thank the ginny's for that. :jj2:

I'll take a swipe at this.

Our culture is fucked up because of the religious puritans. They are afraid our kids will see a boob on tv. But gun violence depicted on tv in a near constant. It's glorified.

But holy shit, a wardrobe malfunction= a shit hemorrhage.

Primarily because they don't. I know this contradicts what your poly-sci professor at DeVry told you you think but so does most of reality. If it tops 85 degrees in Paris 15,000 people die. We grow grass for golf courses in the desert. Pick your paradise, renounce your citizenship and I'll pay your way.
