    They're just OK. They are a college type jam band. Fun to smoke up and watch in concert. Great musicians (especially Trey) but best Am.band ever??

    i think they were on more for their relationships with mark the bagger and Bam from jackass. They all grew up together in PA. Also Mark says Jimmy Pop from Bloodhound is his manager and can't come to the show unless Jimmy is there.

    as a fanboi I still pretty much agree.. they do have some dick hardening jams tho


    even there best songs, as complex, difficult and intricate as they can be, are really just an excuse to ultimately release the tension

    If I had to absolutely say ... I guess it would have to be the Allman Brothers...

    It's hard to think of an 'american' band that has...

    ..Lasted longer
    ....Produced and written more great songs
    .....consistently put on awesome all music no bullshit concerts.. STILL
    .....had a higher number of awesome musicians circulating through the lineup
    .......constantly redefined themselves more without ever deviating from their roots or selling out
    .........created more music or songs that sound like American music, southern rock mixed with american/afro created jazz mixed with early us created blues
    ...........never had a dang fererner playing in the band or producing an album

    I work with a guy who loves Phish. He's also one of the biggest self-absorbed pricks I've ever worked with.

    It's true. If it were individual artists we could include Dylan, Elvis, Chuck Berry, James Brown, Muddy Waters, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Holly, Bo Diddley, Little Richard...whole bunch of people could be in that conversation...but that wasn't the question.
