Best way to record Howard to MP3?

I want to record the shows, then download the files to an MP3 player so I can listen to recorded Howard. I'm assuming I would need to upgrade to Sirius Internet, then use some sort of recording program? I'd like to set it up so I can do something similar to Tivo where I don't need to manually record/stop record. Any advice?

Here is my setup. I have a small Sirius radio on my deck. It is powered by a Radio Shack AC to cigarette converter. I place the antenna on the window sill with a proper view of the sky. The radio line out (where you would plug in speakers or a headphone) goes to my computer audio IN. So now I have the audio feed to the computer. I use a program called Wire Tap Studio from Ambrosia Software. This software allows me to set recording times. It will wake my computer from sleep or actually turn it on if it is off. I have it record automatically Monday through Friday at 6 AM and shut off at 11:30 after the wrap up show. This software will also save the files in a wide variety of audio formats. I use the M4b format because it will easily download to iTunes and then to my iPhone as a bookmarkable audio book. The advantage to that is that each time you start and stop the playback, it will start from where you left off instead of restarting from the beginning. I have been doing this for 7 years. Hope this helps.
