~Boston Bruins playoff thread~

The Sox Yankee thing is pathetic... As is baseabll for the most part nowadyas (although I would much rather see the Yankees win.haha)

That's ok, you can hop off the bandwagon now, like 85% of the other so-called Bruins fans who only give a shit about them if they make the playoffs. Listen to WEEI from October to March, they're an afterthought, it's all Sox/Pats/Celtics callers. Then if they're lucky enough to backdoor their way into the playoffs, all of a sudden everyone remembers there's a hockey team in Boston.

When I was in my teens, the Flyers had some terrible years, and I stopped following them (who'd want to admit to being a die-hard fan, or even watching a team lead by Kevin Dineen). Watching your team suffer or even playing boring ass hockey (something the Bruins have been notorious for the past several years) can wear on a person, and turn them off.

The people of BOston haven't really had any Bruin teams to be proud of in quite awhile. While the Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics have won championships, the Bruins were missing the playoffs, trading Joe Thorton and Harry Sinden was being his usual cheap ass self. So it's understandable a lot of people stayed away, or just didn't give the Bruins their full attention.
