Breaking Bad as good as Howard says?

I saw the pilot episode. Im not really digging it. It wasnt bad, but I just dont see myself watching the series. How does it get any better?

It builds after four or so episodes. Give it time. Best show ever.

Watched all four seasons in a three week period during last winter...... It will hook you.

I find it hard to believe that the first episode didn't hook you in! After watching the pilot a few months ago, my wife and I rifled through 4 episodes and now we're all caught up waiting for the new season. Stick with it... it reminds me of THE SOPRANOS.

Had to give it a try on Netflix because Howard, and many others, highly recommended it.

Turned out to be really, really good.

Best show ever made period. I watched 3.5 seasons in a week. It's like crack.

I think I might like the show if I could stand the Jesse character. Not sure what it is about him but I simply cannot watch.

Probably my favorite all time along with lost, walking dead and the sopranos..

this, Howard actually liking something actually worth watching is surprising, I bet most of the fans of breaking bad have never seen an episode of DWTS or the bachelor

Remember Howard was the man pushing Son of the Beach down our throats before. And that had to be one of the worst shows in the history of colored television

If howard says it, id check my sources... but hes 100% correct on Breaking Bad

but if you didnt like the pilot... holy shit... maybe watch one or two more, but they are all gritty as hell (Walts kid and wife become somewhat less annoying).

Unappreciated and underutilized man finds out hes got terminal cancer and decides to go for broke... whats not to like?

Its not the first time I didnt like top shows. Like I never got into Cheers or Seinfeld either.

Without giving too much away, if you hated Walt for being a 'spineless worm' in the pilot... well, he cant survive selling meff and being a worm for long...

The show is about the evolution of Walt, as someone who feels they have nothing to lose and is willing to go for broke.

The first episode is the best of the series. The rest of the first season is ok, but subsequent seasons the show seems slow-paced, like they are trying to stretch and fill. This last season, especially, it seemed like they were padding-out a 30 minute show to one hour. Actually, ALL the shows I watch on AMC, including "Mad Men", "The Killing", "The Walking Dead" and "Breaking Bad", seem to suffer from this.

they must be making fat stax selling the 4th season on dvd yo.

I actually didn't care much for the show until the fourth episode. The pilot is a bit slow. I watched the beginning on a marathon of 6 of the first episodes- and by the end I couldn't wait to watch more.
