All I know is that when I activated the XM in my new car, I have to pay extra for Stern ala the sirius package. Seems like 2 seperate things to me.

He got me as a subscriber for 6 years. Just cancelled. I might try again when they offer me one of those cheap deals but the lack of show content turned me off which is what I told them.

I dont know why people are so glad he lost. I dont care if he wins or loses. It makes interesting radio either way when Howard goes on a rant and starts screaming, I find that funny, but I have nothing invested in the outcome of this lawsuit. I wonder why some people act like they have something invested. Sounds a bit like mental sickness.

I'm assuming that you are referring to the gleeful vindictiveness in some of the reactions.

Some long-time fans are pissed at Howard's behavior leading up to and during the SIRIUS era, especially since it's a pay-service and what Howard spoke of just prior to 2006 and what he has offered since is perceived by some to be almost deliberate deception on his part.

I don't agree with this but I think it would have helped quite a bit if Howard had shared his thoughts regarding his increasingly souring attitude which I believe began in later 2006. If he had brought us along, so to speak, some would at least understand his true motivations and tempered the negative reactions, especially to paying subscribers.

don't believe the fucking hype. Howard didn't bring in all the new subscribers, the car industry did. No matter how many times Howard parrots this bullshit, it still isn't true.

Are you saying that the SIRIUS subscription spikes in 2006 were not because of Howard?

It means he can never file this same lawsuit again, all he can do is appeal.
  14. Worlock Full Member

He may appeal, but it will only cost him more is lawyers fees and chances are high that he will lose again.

Howard will be furious and will whine about it for the rest of his career. Tomorrow will be EPIC. The only downside is that there will be SO many ass kissing callers trying to lick Howard's ass. Of course he will only take callers that agree with him. I do think its funny how no one outside of the Stern bubble could give two shits about any of this bullshit. Howard the irrelevant.

edit: so much for the show being epic, I gave Howard too much credit.

this is like watching a slow death. even hard core fans are bashing the show now

I am saying he didn't bring one subscription to XM and that was what he was suing for, a bonus from the Sirius XM merger.

He didn't lose anything, the court decided it wasn't his money that was owed to him. In reality he lost nothing but lawyers fees.

Oh, I see your point but know of us know the number of XM subscribers that paid extra for the package which included The Show.

The judge however, agrees with the overall thrust of your point, since she cites the payment to Howard regarding the merger but no contractual wording to support the XM-subscribers argument from Howard/Buchwald.

You are in full on damage control sheep mode..Its actually fun to watch you scramble around saying you dont care either way out of one side of your mouth while bashing those that are happy with the outome in as many threads as possible. Baaaah! :jj2:
