My home docking station has a standard audio out port, so you can attach it to any device you want to record from. Also keep an eye out for the Sirius based Time Trax. This will allow you to record anything from Sirius to your computer.

This is what I've been doing:

Until they have a TiVo-like device on the reciever, you could get a plug and play reciever home kit (I have the Sportster) and since there's an auto-on function on the Sportster (reciever will autmatically turn on if it recieves power), plug it to a timer (the ones that you buy at a hardware store to automatically turn your lights etc.) and set that for the hours that you want.

Then you could connect to your PC soundcard, VCR or whatever device you want ... preferably with RCA (usually red and white) input from the "Line Out" on the Sirius reciever cradle.

If connecting to a PC, just get a program like Adobe Audition 1.5 and set the timer on the program also.

The Xact ReGo and Sportster2 are coming out early next month. They will have recording capabilities. The ReGo can record 4 hours of Sirius and has a mp3 player too. The Sportster2 will record only 44 minutes of Sirius.

Just plug the unit into your computer and use Total Recorder. It has a timer, so it works like a TiVo / VCR. By far the easiest thing to do and will get you perfect MP3s. After that you can do whatever you want. leave them on your hard drive, put it on CD, Cassette, whatever.
