Can't wait to hear the spin on AGT rating numbers

You know if the show is a hit, Howard will say it is strictly because of him.
But who is he gonna blame if the show goes in the crapper after a few weeks. I can't wait to see or hear, how he starts spinning rating numbers.

"We are number one in the 13-18 year old male, living at home demographic and that's really the rating you want and all that matters"

"I told them a thousand times Nick Cannon and Howie need more stylish clothes and Beth can help with that but they won't listen to me"

"They need a more stylish host like Beth who is more in tune with the generation watching the show, I keep telling them that"

It is going to be hysterical to hear him talk about ratings.

You must don't listen because Howard already said it was a hit.The doggone show only averages around 12 million so it ain't falling any lower than that with Howard on.

My question to the handfull of you guys that think the show will fail is What happens when the show is a big hit??Will you guys come out and admit how wrong you all are?Or will you guys make up an excuse like

"The show was already a hit before Howard" or "Howard isn't the reason that people are watching"

The real question is how pissed will Howard be at his fans when he gets no bump in the ratings and he realizes that he is Mr Irrelevant.

It's not possible that it won't "kill" (in the words of a sycophant)....not possible.....:nah:

If the ratings increase within the first week (which it will out of curiousity of Howie being on), you can bet Jon Hein will be in the studio daily talking about the ratings. If the ratings start to drop, Hein will not talk about it. Did you hear Hein or Howie talk about the Lettermen numbers the last time Howie was on? No..because they did not increase and Dave lost to Jay..again..even with Howie on.

So, it will be discussed only if AGT has a surge in ratings.

I think Howard inflates the ratings of his show and channel but AGT will be a huge hit. No need for any spin.

    Right on!!!

I think it will be a huge hit initially out of curiosity. Then it will drop because people realize itmis an awful show. Remember Howard USED to knock this show daily playong clips of how bad Nick Cannon was almost every hour.
Having Howard on AGT is like putting a dress on a pig, the show still is looking for the next great Vegas shitty lounge act to get fat housewives in Michigan to see

I can't wait til the season is over and done with, that's when the spin will start. If it's a huge hit Howard will be blowing his own horn. If it's the same or lower, Howard will say that it's too much work for him and he wantsto focus on the radio show. And then he will sue NBC for incidentals.

Dude, dude you honestly think Howard would care if the show gets canned? Or doesn't do great ratings wise? He's gonna get paid a shit load of money either way. He signed the big huge multi million dollar contract, "forced" himself to go through with the work. Done deal. Anything that happens after that he can give a shit about. Knowing him he probably has all of his bases covered with additional money, if the show does really good, he'll probably get paid more. If the show fails...sure his ego at night might be a little effected, but he can easily look at the millions he made in the deal and...all is well. His passions have changed over the years...he's become incredibly obsessed with making shit loads of money. Nothing wrong with that, but that took the place of the passion he once had for his radio show, and everything else. Nothing else matters anymore. Except $. And Beth.

Can't wait for the haters to do exactly what they accuse Howard of if the show is a hit and Howard gets accolades. They'll give you every reason to hate the show, hate Howard and see it in a negative way.

the show has been on for six years. if the general public thought it was awful, it would have been cancelled 4 seasons ago. it's been the #1 show in the summer the entire time, averaging 10-12 million, and will continue to because there's fuck all on during the summer. my guess is it gets a small bump and averages 12.5-13 million this season. The premiere will hit 18. The finale, 16. his radio audience will have almost no effect on the ratings because they more than likely aren't nielsen households anyway.

the shithead haters will continue to piss and moan and concoct some new bullshit theory reminiscent of a hanzi fever dream.

I heard that he hired Vinnie Favale as a Ratings Spin Advisor. That guy is a pro.

This, except for midway thru the season he will start the exit strategy by dropping how tired he is and glad he only signed for one season into conversations.

Is it wrong to say I'm looking forward to it? I don't know about you guys but I love Howard, love when he's on letterman or any other show and getting more Howard...and at night...is not a bad thing...I friggin can't wait. The show isn't any worse than American idol or dancing with the stars. At least this doesn't feel as gay...there's some good acts on it.

I'll watch and enjoy it. Haters can suck it.
  22. rivercatsfan Full Member

It will do well because so many shows are already heading into reruns when it airs

It's not gonna happen. As much as you straight haters blast the man he still moves the meter. AGT at least this year will be a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge hit
  24. WillowGlen Full Member

Like he moved the meter on Letterman the last few times?

Move the meter? Maybe 10 years ago, but Howie hasn't "moved a meter" in years. Ask Vinnie Favale what happened the last time Howie was on Lettermen? He will have to admit the truth..which was Lettermen with Howie LOST to Leno with Daniel Radcliffe. Daniel was NOT promoting a Harry Potter movie, but was promoting a movie called "The Woman in Black". Lettermen received NO ratings bump that night, and there was NO "Stern-effect" happening that night.

AGT a huge hit? I seriously doubt it...but, I am sure Mr. Hein will spin it that way for Howie.
