I do matter to you bitch, if not, you would not waste time responding to me and getting all worked up. You mad bro!

I brought up Bush to prove your hypocrisy, which as usual, worked and proved my point.

You obviously have no problem paying for Iraqi's universal healthcare because you are not making a stink about it or ripping your republican president when he implemented it. Yet here you are bitching about providing it for your fellow Americans.

Ill ask again. WHat did this great country do to make you hate it so much?

I don't take Viagra but if I did it would be for a legitimate medical condition. Wanting to avoid getting pregnant while sleeping around in college is not a medical condition. What's more, there are far cheaper alternatives for birth control than the pill.

Good question. If it came down to Obama or Paul I certainly couldn't vote for either one as doing so would harm the country. I don't know - maybe a Conservative would run as an independent that I could vote for - I'd have to see.

I'd be voting on Conservative principles - neither Obama nor Paul fit the bill.

What you need to still explain is your logic of voting for either Ron Paul or, if he fades away, Obama. Again, you are saying "well, if I can't vote for the Libertarian I'll vote for the Marxist." You do realize that is completely illogical, yes?

Not if he is against wars in the middle east and is socially liberal.

Who are you talking about, Rev?

The rationality of a ron paul voter voting for Obama when Ron Paul isnt an option

Still doesn't make sense - Ron Paul would withdraw our troops from Afghanistan immediately whereas Obama has the bulk of them in there until 2014 and will leave a residual force there for an undetermined length of time. Also, Obama is against homosexual marriage so I don't know how "socially liberal" he is.
  13. Reverend Tyler Full Member

Well he hasnt supported DOMA and he revoked DADT. He's also obviously not against the evils of contraception and is pro-choice. And leaving by the end of 2014 is better than staying there like the rest of the GOP nominees want to do.

    1. Please explain how we "lost" Iraq.

    2. "Winning" in Afghanistan is subjective - that is, it depends on what the mission is and how it is being implemented. We went from a counter-terrorism mission (Bush) to a counter-insurgency mission (Obama) - I would argue that the former was both necessary and winnable whereas the latter is not especially when you short-change the commanders.

    3. You can argue our role in the world and how much influence we can have, but I would need to ask whether you think that the world is better off without the Soviet Union and an Iron Curtain in existence.

    4. We are not "hated throughout the world" - that is a Leftist talking point.
  15. VacateTheWord Full Member

I don't know what you mean by "he hasn't supported DOMA" - it is a law on the books and if he was against it he and his supermajority in Congress could have done away with it.
Yes, he revoked DADT and as long as it doesn't interfere with unit cohesion I"m all for it as well. I think not being able to serve openly in the military was a far bigger issue than homosexual marriage.
The contraception thing is a bogus debate - nobody is looking to outlaw abortion. Yes, Obama is pro-abortion and that would fit him in the "socially Liberal" camp.
Finally, I haven't heard that the "rest of the GOP nominees" wanting to stay in Afghanistan at the force level we are currently at - please provide evidence for this accusation.

Nobody is looking to outlaw abortion?!?!?! Is that a joke? And by not defending DOMA I mean literally not defending it in court. And nobody is "pro-abortion"....it is "pro-choice"...there is a big difference there. Nobody tries to increase the amount of abortions, except, ironically, those against cheap available contraception.

And I've yet to hear about any woman going out of her way to get pregnant just so she could get an abortion..
  18. VacateTheWord Full Member

Well I must tip my hat to both of you. This coordinated effort to avoid talking about Obama's failed policies is working - here I am talking about the pill and DOMA when the topic on hand was Obama's budget and how it would further bankrupt my country. Well, the time for the deflections is over.

Please provide a coherent defense for Obama's budget proposal. No DOMA, no abortion, no more talk about that floozie Fluke.
