    quartz patterns are too consistent for my tastes. I enjoy the more randomness and grains of some granites.

    hold a wet washcloth over the overflow hole in the sink and pump the drain rapidly with a plunger for a quick fix.

    take the stopper out if you want to be more thorough and plunge it less often.
