Did Obama Pay a Lower Rate Than His Secretary?

He's paying the taxes that the law says he should pay. No one, including him

Obama isn't forced to just pay the tax rate that the feds place him. He can pay as much as he wants. He didn't. Obviously, he doesn't view himself as rich. That is the point. The shitfaces who want everyone else to pay more don't like it when someone is reaching into their pockets.

As long as we're talking about fair share, no one would need to pay any more in taxes and the deficit would be gone tomorrow if the total welfare system was scrapped. Yes, everybody should just pay whatever they "want" to pay. That is smart and should work out well for a country of about 300 million.

Nobody is saying changes do not need to be made, however that needs to include the rich paying their FAIR share. A fair share that they will not even feel at the end of the day. That should not be the only change but it has to be one of the first. It is common sense..regardless of what the GOP says.

We tried giving them a tax break and letting it "Trickle down" but it has not worked. So lets try something else now and see how that goes since we know letting the rich keep more of their own money does not create more jobs or create trickle down economics.

Not only do I pay my fair share, I employ 20 people that also pay their fair share. I pay taxes and fees and am taxed on already taxed money more than most people ever know. I'm also taxed on money I haven't made yet and have to send a check to the Government every three months on what they think I might make. Tell me about taxes again.

define "fair share" it's a very nebulous term....specifically what does that mean? and what will it accomplish towards a goal of...............?

If Obama made close to 4 mil in 2010 and estimated taxes were set at that amount, wouldn't that deeply distort his tax rate if he only took in 2 mil in 2011?

I guess you missed the thread where your reich wing was NOT counting these taxes in determining what percent of income the rich were paying compared to the middle and lower income class. In that debate, all of a sudden these were NOT counted as taxes. So which is it?

Lower income people pay hardly anything in taxes and they are sure to get a whole lot more out of social security from what they pay into it than what a rich person pays into it and gets out of it. This is the first year I made even a decent amount of money and I'm paying a shitload compared to what I paid as middle to lower wage earner. If I could keep fifteen percent more, I might have hired someone part time to help me. So my money would have gone to an actual person who wants to work. Directly to that person and not picked apart by government workers until that same amount of person reaches the unemployed person in just a small percentage of what was taken. Next year I'm incorporating into and S, paying myself a salary of fifty grand, and drawing the rest at a tax rate of 15 percent. I don't fault Romney one bit for wanting keep more of the money he earns.
