Just despicable!!! Best thing that happened to Paterno was he frigging died...Lets all hope that Sandusky gets a cell-mate named Bubba-Joe who likes to rape old men, and also has AIDS

    Why shut the school down?

I agree that they should get the death penalty and that the school should be forced to deal with the victims.

There were a few people that allowed these crimes to go on and they should be made accountable for their crimes......but why take it out on the other 99.9%.

Why should the students, faculty, and others that had nothing to do with this suffer when they were completely innocent? What if your next door neighbor was Sandusky and after his conviction you get labeled a pedophile just because you lived next door to that monster?

Shut the school does because of the negligence of the people on top and the horror it has caused the victims and the monetary awards they should be given should be so steep, that the school will have no money left to even turn on the power.

Why give the program the death penalthy then? Why should the football program suffer now when everybody involved is no longer involved in the program.

Why does the NCAA have punishments at all? If a coach pays off a guy, why should a school be punished? It that situation they are also taking it out on 99.9% of the people who are innocent.

Think about what you are saying. The school not only allowed the worse situation possible to happen, it then covered it up. IF a school is sued for for everything they have, then of course they would have to get shut down. How do you not understand what I said. You seem to be the only one. Maybe you need to ask an adult to explain it to you.

Penn State has billions in endowments and will not be bankrupted in this tragedy. Granted the victims should collect millions for the care they will need to maintain a life that will never be normal, but the school will never be bankrupt.

And since the school will not be bankrupt you give them the death penalty so that the sport program will never be as powerful in the future and that the student athletes understand that they are there to become better people and to get an education. Those kids that were on a football scholarship get to go to another university so they don't get penalized.

Those that were negligent should pay for their crimes...but the students and the secretarys in the Physics Department shouldn't get punished for those that are guilty. That is adult logic, maybe you need to an adult to explain that to you.
  21. zimmie Full Member

using your logic, when a man kills his wife he shouldn't go to jail because the kids will suffer from not having a daddy...they didn't have anything to do with it, why punish them huh?

circumstances are different, principle is the same...innocent people are being punished due to the actions of others.

    How are they being punished?

Maybe the father going to jail is the best thing that could happen to them and when they go to a foster home they get the nurturing they need to become better people.

How does closing or the hope of closing a major university help anyone when 99% of those there had nothing to do with Sandusky?
