GeekTime Geek Time

Does Geektime have a set time that it is replayed at, yet? I am listening now and kinda wanna go do something, but don't want to miss the rest of the show if I'm never going to hear the replay.

Yeah I missed the end (doing non geeks things like watching football) I liked the show thou. I actually like Ralph on it.

There will be a replay this Monday night @ 8.

The only show I really like anymore is geektime. Wish ralph could get his entitled ass in there once a week.

I really enjoyed Geek Time and thought Ralph and Jon were awesome. I am a big fan of Ralph and love it when he calls in the HS show. Sad that he can't become a full time part of the show.

Brilliant? Really? Maybe it is because you are ignorant. The show, from a technical standpoint, is allright...but that is only because of John H. Listening to Ralph talk about geek stuff is like listening to Mike Tyson give lectures on the english language. His knowledge is average at best, and perhaps he may be of help to people that know absolutely nothing about computers, and if thats the case, then you are right - he is brilliant. But from a substance standpoint, I think its a horrible show for anyone who knows anything about electronics, pcs, and related tech gadgetry. Granted, I only listened to one show, and I couldnt even last but 10-15 minutes. Ralph should know he has no business talking about geek stuff. He is an out of work hair stylist that got an ipad for free. Here's something- an Iron Man mask or whatever that thing he was talking about is NOT a geek item. Thats a childs toy, moron. Until you can personally speak on the intricacies of say, the new honeycomb OS as it compares to the mac os, or maybe understand that the main reason why jailbreaking is such a heavily supported procedure by real geeks, is because of two words - OPEN SOURCE. much like Microsoft, Apple almost the very same thing with its Apple Store and Itunes - one of the worst media pieces of software that iphone, ipad and apple users are stuck with. Jailbreaking allows for opensource developers to provide the enduser with any and all tools that he/she needs with respect to their personal idevice. Period. I want to make my phone look a certain way....I should be able to do it. Its MY phone. On it, I want software that utilizes the flash as a flashlight because I often need it to find my keys,etc....there is an app for that. Although there are thousands of apps in the app store, there are just as many outside of it. Apple decides whether its right or wrong and whether an app should be allowed on the iphone. Thats crazy to me. My phone - i want porn on it. I have the right to put a porn app on it.

Lastly - I have to admit that one part of this geek time show got me and my buddies rolling laughing. Before I stopped listening to the show altogether, they were talking to some HDTV expert or something...and all i remember hearing was that Ralph said somethign along the lines of 'im thinking plasma' . That was the funniest thing ever. Ralph cant buy a hotdog, yet he is 'thinking plasma' ? Perhaps a plasma remote, Ralph? Or a plasma Citizen watch? Surely you cannot be referring to a home theater plasma screen. Im not rich, but I love electronics and my home theater plasma was over $8k. Ralph is the biggest wannabe its seriously comical. I havent listed to geek time since that HDTV discussion they had...and I dont have any plans of listening in the future. if I do tune in, itll be because its is pure comedy listening to a hair stylist talk about why 'ipads are the best thing ever'. idiot. what a tool.

no need for vulgarity, kisonfan. did i say i purchased my plasma last week? no, i bought mine 2 years ago, and i dont buy electronics from best buy or frys. im not rich but i just choose to splurge on a 70+inch plasma thats all.

i do hate to burst your bubble, but although you are correct in that the average price of consumer-grade plasma televisions have come down significantly in price, that is considered lower-tier as far as the world of tvs. do you think that mark cuban has a $1,900 plasma that he had delievered by the geek squad? no, his tv is over $100k. granted thats extreme...but if you are talking about quality home theater components, specifically plasmas, even middle-tier is upwards of $10k. http://products.howstuffworks.com/64-to-73-inch-tv-reviews.htm just to show a few.

like i said, the show is ok for those that know absolutely nothing, or close to it. and the only reason for that is because it is driven by an out-of-work stylist? i just think its funny , downright hilaroius, that ralph has the gall to try and run a show about electronics. maybe what color shirts go with jeans....or whether it is appropriate to wear mousse as opposed to styling gel. that would be a more relevant show for his knowledge. so funny.

I like the show, but Ralph is a terrible interviewer.

This show is the best thing on the channels right now (including HSS). They get good guests and it's actually entertaining. That said, it represents a sad commentary on the state of the channels
