Hamptons magazine throwing a cover party this weekend for Beth

Plum Hamptons may be gone, a victim of the bankruptcy of the parent Plum Network, but the Hamptons publishing scene appears to be thriving once again.
“It’s healthy, it’s a noticeable difference from last year,” said Justin Mitchell, publisher of 9-year-old Social Life, which is throwing a cover party this weekend for Beth Ostrosky Stern, spouse of shock jock Howard Stern.
The East End’s moribund real-estate market has also come back, according to Marianne Howatson, publisher of Cottages & Garden Media, which counts Hamptons Cottages & Gardens among its titles.

You know, Robin's in the hospital and they're in the Hamptons? I don't want to be too judgmental (but I will), if my close friend of 30 years or so was having a procedure like Robin, I would be staying in the city to visit her and trying to help. I imagine Robin is saying things like, "Leave me alone, I can do this myself." But I also think she would like to have close family and friends with her, especially Howard. I think Howard is very close to her. I would be surprised if Howard attends this thing. It would disappoint me.

I think she was on the one right before Matt Lauer.

She sure is pretty. Yes, robin is in the hospital, but howard is not going to be there 24/7. robin would throw him out on his ass. when i am sick, i don't want anybody bothering me. i'm sure howard is doing all he can.

This is ridiculous. Robin had her procedure on Wednesday, and Howard and Beth probably already went to see her. Im sure he can keep up with her via email or IM. He's not her daddy or mommy or nurse. Expecting Howard to be at her side 24/7 is just looking for another bullshit argument to shit on Howard if he doesn't do what you expect. I can see it from a mile away.

Well, you're half right. I'm sure if he has no AGT on his schedule, he most likely saw her Thurs., even Wed., but headed out to the Hamptons straight after that. NEVER would he miss a Beth event. Most likely if even Ben or Ray passed.

Social Life is throwing a party for Beth, Hamptons magazine is not.

Beth`s photos always looks like she is trying to be very sexual, but I bet she is the least sexual person around. She is very pretty, however, except when she is doing those smoky eye shots where she just looks possessed.

If you've ever had surgery, and let's assume you have, you know that the first day you are out of it and wouldn't know who was visiting you. Most likely she wouldn't be allowed visitors except for family anyway. After Wednesday is another story. I didn't say Howard would be by her bedside 24/7, but it would piss me off to know that my best friend had to go off to a Hampton's social engagement when I'm in the hospital with a possible cancer diagnosis. I'm not talking about an acquaintance, I'm talking about your closest, through thick and thin, friend. Everyone has one of those and they are always there for you during emergencies. If they aren't with you, they are doing things for you.
