Oh no...They are consistently enjoyable. I hate all the crap programs surrounding them, too, like "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" and "What Do You Know?" Those suck!

I think the main thing I have learned from them is that they love what they do...They went to MIT but they just love talking about/fixing cars...It's really cool, to me.

One of them has a doctorate and was a professor for a while. Didn't know that until I read a recent article about them.

I learned that if your pickup truck suddenly gets bad gas mileage you should check to see if you are carrying around a load of bricks.

Also, if you want to get revenge on someone who messes with your car, the best places to hide chunks of dead fish are up in the dash. *edit* Oh yeah, down into the vents too.

I'm really going to miss those guys.

Hopefully the podcasts remain available. Theirs is the only podcast I bother with.

I love Car Talk and have listened almost since they began 25 years ago. But if you think What Do You Know sucks you have no sense of humor. I"ve seen it in person twice and it's so much fun.
