    It's pronounced Elle. If it was pronounced Ellie, it would be spelled Ellie.

    Elle is one of the most famous women in the world and has been for about 30 years. Nearly everyone has heard of the magazine. Sal sounds like Gene Wilder's character in the movie Young Frankenstein, who insists on pronouncing a super-famous name differently than everyone else in the world. It is "Fronk-en-stein" :jj:
