How important is a firm hand-shake to you?

i hate people that hold on too long and you have to pull your hand away. it should be 3 pumps max 2 or 1 preferred.... like with your mom.

So you worked for a mom & pop outfit.... Corporations are a whole different story..I have a whole protocol I have to go through to terminate an employee. The damage a pessimistic, shitty employee can do to the staff morale while you're waiting to get human resources authorization to terminate, can be substantial...Hence the reason why I just stopped hiring certain types ...

Firm handshake is of the utmost importance for me. I actually extend my index finger and place it on the persons wrist and feel for their pulse. It connects you to the person. I have been complimented on the handshake numerous times and even had people change their handshake and incorporate it as their own.

I have also stopped shaking my father in laws hand due to noodle handshake. Bothers me to no end.

About 500 employees. After we got bought out we were about 10,000 people. We were supposed to have some written warnings on file before we fired them, but other than that is was a manager's call. No HR faggit needed to approve shit.

No dude, just place it right on the wrist. Very light, nothing to obvious but enough to know its there. Direct eye contact is a must as well.

I hate shaking hands. Hardly anyone washes anymore after shitting or touching other bodily fluids. When I do shake, it's firm but I am not looking to squeeze a hand so I hear bones crunching together. A nice firm shake and its over with. Then I sit their thinking about how I am going to either wash my hand or put some sanitizer on it after the person leaves my sight.

i like to take my free hand and firmly grasp one of their buttocks. makes it more personal.

I've actually had to extend 30 day notice periods (to shape up or be terminated) because the 30 day warning wasn't filled out per H.R. guidelines...Friggin ridiculous!! All because of the dopey anti-discrimination/wrongful-termination laws ..Which in my case, has had the complete opposite effect... I don't need the hassle on top of everything else I do, so I just stopped hiring certain ethnicities
