After losing over 30% of AGT's 18-49 demographic and with the ratings still falling, Buchwald couldn't get an appointment with AI's mail room clerk. Howard blew it by signing on with the second rate gong show.

AI is fucked though.

I couldn't stand watching AGT for more than 5 minutes when someone posted the NBC link online. I would actually watch Howard judge on AI though. That show seems better...the only trouble is I can see some people hating Howard as judge of musical ability.

Even if Simon was mean, he has producing experience and knows the classic and current names in music. You could take his criticism seriously.

Howard would have to rely on the Top 40 and Fred to keep up.

I think AI is ready to pack up the show and move it to NJ..they can use the same theater as they do with AGT...the only trouble is that AI wouldn't be able to handle the drop in ratings..and they would be going up against first run shows...so I think "America's Judge" is destined to stay with this juggling contest and finish up the AGT season with the huge drop in ratings and AGT will be back in California the day after the season finale

Howard's final contract with CBS required him and Buchwald to inform CBS if he was negotiating with any other media company, he signed with Sirius without informing CBS. All the legal documents surrounding this are available on "The Smoking Gun".

You mean he signed with Sirius without informing CBS? The correct thing for Sirius to do would have been to go to CBS and ask for permission to sign Howie..right? I mean..isn't that the whole thing Stern wanted Jay to do when he hired John?

Again..its business...and Sirius was NOT going to ask CBS for permission...and Jay didn't need to either...and when NBC moves the show back to California, I am sure they will not ask Howie's permission either.
