How much more money does everyone make at Sirius?

What % jump in pay did everyone on the staff get when they moved to Sirius?
Do they make 10% more than they used to? 50% more? Or something like double or triple?
What % did Howards pay go up?
What about people like Gary, Robin, Benji, and Fred?
Richard and Sal?

Gary, Robin and Fred make more than a million a year (Robin probably several). It's can't imagine Gary and Fred made more than a hundred k on K-Rock.

All this is pure speculation, but I think that Gary was the biggest benefactor (percentage-wise) of moving to Sirius. After the move, I remember Gary saying something to the effect of, "Thank you Don Buchwald for changing my life", which I interpreted to mean that Gary's pay went from the low six figures to the high six figures, if not more than a million. Robin and Fred probably got a nice bump too... Robin the biggest dollar amount of any of them, but not as much percentage-wise as Gary. If Benjy is represented by Buchwald, he probably got a pretty good bump too. The rest of the staff probably got anywhere from a few percent to 25% more than what they were making at WXRK, depending on how poorly they were being paid there, but at their pay level, that would be at the most a $10-20K increase.

More than Howard?

Percentage wise yes. It's pretty clear that Howard about doubled his annual pay... maybe a little more when you take into account the stock based incentives that he did get in the first year or two at Sirius (his base pay at WXRK was reported to be in the $30-40M range before considering what he got from syndication markets). I think that at Sirius, Gary is getting paid at least 3 to 4 times as much as he was making at WXRK.

They all got raises. Even Scott the engineer makes 100k+.

That youtube video was a discussion of pre-Sirius pay from the SFRT show that used to air on Sirius while Howard was still working at WXRK.... and Ralph was the only one on the show who probably had a clue about what the various staff members were making.

Benjy getting a raise at all is a fucking crime, while JD actually works hard and lives in a shit hole in Brighton Beach or wherever he lives.

100k in New York is not a lot of money..My son in law makes more than 100k and he is a software sales rep..I'll bet Scott makes lots more than 100k

Scott may make 200 or 250k - remember he's in a union. Plus, NYC is a city where some trash men make 59k a year. And, like it or not, he is very experienced and runs the engineering on Sirius' top program.

I love how some people wildly overestimate the staff salaries. This really bad guess was one of the particularly funnier ones... a guy who does DJ/MC duty for the Ronnie Block Party shows because he needs the extra few hundred dollars he gets doing that on occasional weekends is making $200-250K a year at his day job??? Yeah, that makes sense.

I would have been surprised if they offered Jackie way more than Fred, and that was $950k (which, of course, the jackass TURNED DOWN because it wasn't a million). And I seem to recall Artie was in that ballpark as well. So I would have expected Fred to be in that area even then.

Gary, not so much, but almost certainly more than a mere $100K, I would guess around $250k at K-Rock and now in the million range, easily.

Most of Scott's duties have been given to experts. They went from the dark ages of radio technology to modern and up to date technology. All of this was way over Scott's abilities. There is way more work to do. They have to come up with best of's 5 day per week plus a multitude of holidays and vacations.

Exactly, there is no way that Scott even makes $100K at Sirius. There is now a whole separate department, "the tapes team", that does the bulk of what Scott used to do at K-Rock, but he was probably lucky and got a small salary bump for doing less work at Sirius.

The median average pay increased 29.33% upon moving to Sirius.

Howard's pay increased 517.99% if we're talking gross, or 378.22% net.
Gary's pay increased 33.33%
Robin's pay increased 67.25%
Benji's pay increased 12.33%
Fred's pay increased 33.33%

Richard and Sal received no pay increase and JD's pay has actually decreased 12.05%

They make $8 an hour.

Compared to what they do for the show, it's safe to say Howard is still the most relatively underpaid, while everyone else (guys like Benjy, Sal, etc) are overpaid to either a modest or a substantial degree.

This is a lil late but, when I heard Howard was going to be paid 100 mil. per yr. I was shocked. At the time that was a gigantic amount of money especially for a DJ going on a very restricted medium like Sirius Satellite Radio. Even if he was doing 5 hrs. a day and 5 days per week. He says he didn't get that much but who really knows except Howard or Sirius execs. If it really is 100 mil. he should be working 7 days and 5hrs. per day. I truly think he's trying to get fired so he can do AGT only because he doesn't need the money. Flame on but I believe many feel the same.
