How much more money does everyone make at Sirius?

If he should be working more days a week for the money he gets, Sirius XM would have said so in his new contract, but they signed a contract that said that he has to work an average of a little more than two days a week. Why would Howard (or anyone else) try to get fired from a job that will pay him hundreds of millions of dollars for such a light work schedule?

My point was that Sirius has made one of the stupidest blunder in media history. To much money and to much leverage for the KOAM.

Actually we have evidence of just the opposite. The first contract turned out to be such a good move by the company, that it was followed by a second very similar contract.

Have actual details of the new contract actually surfaced anywhere? It's constantly referred to in these discussions but I've not seen anything in black-and-white yet.

Scott was "offered" $250,000 to take anal from Lexington Steele. When it all fell thru and the gang was wondering how he could possibly even consider it, he mumbled something about "a few minutes of humiliation for 5 years salary". Granted those were K rock numbers.

$50K a year at K-rock is in the neighborhood of what I had always assumed. I wouldn't expect it to be a whole lot higher at Sirius.

I was listening to a 2009 show and Fred said he wasn't a millionaire. Howard seemed shocked.

That's a good point. I don't think Jackie made substantially more than Fred. Wow I can't believe Fred was still an insecure small man complex jerk-off in the late 90s early 00s with all that money and success.

What the fuck are you rambling on about?? The bottom line is in the best shape it's ever been in, with an expected 1.5 billion dollars in cash on the books by the end of this year. Please try to argue your point with actual facts instead if made up bullshit.

The last contract with WXRK was prob. very good to all of them, but I think anyone who wasn't under Buchwald, like Artie and Jackie, got paid a little less because they were able to take time off for acting or standup gigs.

They all know what they'd be making working for another TV or radio show, and I'm sure what they're making here is way more. But they left with CBS stock, on top of money saved up over the years. I don't think Gary and Fred have to work when the show's done.

Howard's issue is with Sirius not honoring the contract, and if they couldn't do it, should have said so in the negotiations. It sounds like they promised something and can't deliver on it. If they came on the show and said "we promised you on something and we fucked up" and let Sal stick his taint in their faces, I guarantee he'd enjoy that more than dealing with it in court.

Fred's downplaying it. He has kids to protect, so does Gary. Howard can openly admit his wealth because people know he wound up with a huge sum of money w/ Sirius and the past syndication money. I'm sure whatever was in his divorce settlement, was also including stock options from CBS, and odds are she got Sirius stock to share with the kids. The "kids" prob. get money through her. Don prob. kept any of the bonus money out of that... who knows what perks everyone from the show gets.

I'd be curious on how much Beth gets just from plugging the show, and wouldn't be surprised if all the volunteer time she does for NSAL is written off by Don for Howard. I'm sure he knows how many calendars sold.

Robin has no kids so she can show it off.

My guess on Gary is around 3-5 mil a year, which is prob what Oprah's producer made before OWN. Syndication money is a sky's the limit situation, Ellen is prob. not close to making Oprah's billion.

Yikes! It's amazing how much complete gibberish and totally made up nonsense you've managed to cram into those 4 short paragraphs. I don't think there is anything in there that makes sense, is even remotely connected to reality, or is based on any actual fact or knowledge that you didn't just make up based on absolutely nothing.

From your wacky theories about Howard's ex-wife "getting Sirius stock to share with the kids" (don't you even realize that Howard's first Sirius contract came YEARS after his divorce settlement was finalized???), to your bizarre thoughts about Beth's volunteer work being "written off by Don for Howard". Forget your utter and complete ignorance in thinking that the value of services provided as a volunteer are somehow something that you can write off on your taxes... but if it was, what would Don have to do with it, and why would Don be writing stuff off for Howard? I don't think I'm speaking out of school when I say that Howard's taxes and any write-offs he takes are done by a CPA and/or tax attorney, not his agent. And where exactly does "Beth plug the show"? And regarding your curiosity about how much she is getting paid to "plug the show", who exactly do you think is paying her to "plug the show"?????

The topper to all your nonsensical rambling was your wildly wrong guess about how much Gary gets paid followed by some nonsequiters about Oprah and Ellen that you just completely pulled out of your ass, which I guess were supposed to somehow lend credence to your guess about Gary's salary.

Did you actually think that you were going to pull all that out of your ass and someone was going to read it and think... gee, this sounds like a pretty smart guy who really knows what he's talking about?

No one knows and it's stupid to waste time speculating.

If speculation is no longer allowed on this site, then we might as well just shut down SFN.

They're getting what they payed for. 80 mil. for many two day work weeks. Excellent investment.
  17. Alfred E Norris Full Member

Judging by the fact that revenues are at an all time high as well as the amount of free cash they have on the books, it was more than an excellent investment... but then they obviously knew that at the end of the first contract, which is why they signed a second contract for similar money.
  18. boeing46 Full Member

They obviously knew what? I do believe that Howard brought a lot of people to Sirius in 2005/6. I also believe there are many very disappointed fans. The answer to your question above may be that they (Sirius) thought he would retire or that 80 mil. was a good investment. If so, good for them and they get a cookie and we get 2/3 days per week max. In my opinion I think many people like the satellite radio because you can be almost anywhere in our country, Mexico and Canada and receive a great stereo signal. I do hope it survives so I can get a good signal during my travels.

Knew what they got the first time they spent hundreds of millions of dollars to get Stern, so they decided to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to retain him.

Are you really so fucking stupid that you can't comprehend the simple business decision that was made here?
