I've made (yet another) bad decision, but this one involves you all...

...or at least those who choose to participate.

This is an idea that I will likely come to regret, but that will most definitely be hilarious and quite possibly make history- WORLD history. I'm certain that Oprah will be calling me begging for an interview only moments after I post this...

I am going to allow you, the people of the lounge, decide my next tattoo.

As some of you know, I'm pretty much down to get any random tattoo as long as it is memorable or makes me laugh. I have a casual attitude towards them as do a lot of us in the biz.
Anyhow, at work today we were all coming up with stupid ideas for little things our apprentice could do on us/his friends to practice. This evolved into just creating the most bizarre, random, silly things we could come up with. My partner actually got one. It's his quirky uncle Russ as taken from a drawing they did of him on the basement wall...



ANYWAY, here's how this will work:

Post your ideas here. An official, serious entry must be prefaced by the heading "ENTRY:" in bold. This way a serious submission will not be confused with general thread pics.


The idea can be something you drew/created on paper, photoshop or msPaint. Or you can take an existing pic/photograph and use that.

I request that all ideas be accompanied by some kind of pic. If you would like myself or someone else to draw it, that's fine but keep in mind that while realistic/serious designs and photos are acceptable; so are drawings that are completely void of any artistic skill whatsoever.


After 5 days (Wed 12/8 at 9:30pm EST) I will take the ideas and create a poll/polls to determine the "winning" design without bias or error. I will then get the tattoo as soon as one of my partners can do it. I swear to this. In fact, I'll take pics and post them.

OFFICIAL GUIDELINES:

Nothing pornographic or with nudity.

Nothing political/religious.

Nothing incriminating.

Ideas can be drawings or photos; realistic or not.

It cannot be something that is an existing tattoo. While Patrick Swayze as a chippendale centaur WOULD be awesome, it's been done, so I don't want it.
I also don't want to duplicate anything I already have or is close to something I have.

Something referencing pop-culture or a particular celebrity could be okay, but nothing that goes against my feelings on certain hot-button subjects (for instance I would eliminate a pic of John Lennon with a bullet wound or a design that says "I Love the Dallas Cowboys")

I don't want something Stern-related, at least not directly/obviously.

I don't want it to say SFN anywhere... the tattoo alone will be enough of a reminder of the years of my life that I've spent here (and will never get back ).

NO AnimalGod/Nikkers. Just NO.

There must be some kind of design. Lettering/words are fine, but there's got to be something to look at besides that.

Ideas MUST be tattoo-friendly. If it is NOT POSSIBLE to execute an idea successfully, I'll tell you and you can try to change it, otherwise I'll eliminate it from the running.

I have the right to eliminate any design I wish from the final poll... obviously I HAVE to be able to do this, otherwise people could just ignore the guidelines and post a pic of Jesus raping a baby and I'd have to get it. I DECIDE WHAT MAKES THE FINAL POLL. And DON'T BITCH ABOUT THIS! Even after I trim the fat, there will be PLENTY of options to choose from and they'll ALL be appropriately ridiculous I'm CERTAIN.
