The jimmy fallon interview today was easily the best interview of the year so far. I dont know what it is with sfn but you guys obviously dont like him because every time he is on there is never a thread on him. I dont know how long the interview was but it felt way longer than the traditional 40 to 60 minute interview.

The reason for that is because SFN has morphed into Wackbag and almost all the threads here are posted by haters.

Didn't seem like a repeat interview with a repeat guest. That's a good thing.

Nah,it's just some of these people are here just to sh*t on anything the show does.No matter who is on the show they'll bitch about it..Oh in less it's the grumpy f*cks that have nothing going on and bash Howard personally like Pat Cooper...

Jimmy was absolutely great... Love to hear more stories and anecdotes.

Now if Howard could shut the fuck up and let a guest finish an answer that would be huge progress. Not to mention his constantly projecting his own neuroses on to his guests when it comes to having to hate the competition and wanting everyone else to fail. Let alone his incessant idiotic questioning as if he were some psychological expert.

His therapy has been a miserable failure and his shrink should be sued for malpractice...

So true. If he occasionally played armchair psychologist, it would be tolerable, but it's the constant projecting with each and every guest. Every male guest always turns into xyz happened and you must have done it because of xyz problem with your father in childhood. Howard's constant interrupting the guests has become a lot more pronounced the past couple of years. He gets a good guest on, he can't shut up, and it's the same garbage that he says when he's interrupting every other guest.

Jimmy Fallon was great and it's too bad as you said that Howard couldn't shut up. When he was asking about the Drew Barrymore wedding, you could just hear the longing that Howard now has to be in their celebrity club.

Aside from Howard making him repeat many of the things he's already said in prior interviews, it was a great interview. I liked it quite a bit. I don't really watch Fallon's show and I didn't really even like him that much on SNL but I think he's an awesome Stern guest.

You're sad if you take radio wars literal, never mind radio messageboard wars, do you ever post without mentioning the word wackbag?

The interview last year was OKAY. Since then, both shows have got progressively worse. Fanboys talk about haters then cry if you don't say anything at all. The guy's barely worth seconds.

The way things are these days on SFN, I am surprised that I am not seeing a bunch of "The Jimmy Fallon interview sucked balls" comments. Plenty of people here either don't like anything, or are somehow afraid to post a positive comment. The 'Fact of the Matter' is that the Fallon interview was great, as most celebrity interviews done by Howard are. In this case Howard's job was easier because of the talent that Jimmy brings to the table. Neil Young singing the Fresh Prince theme song and Bob Dylan doing Charles in Charge are spot on imitations and hilarious at the same time. This is why we listen to Howard on satellite, to hear great content like this.

It's far from..the opposite. This place has been sanitized so much that some simply don't post (hence the slowdown) or just go to dawgs. I get tired of haters. There's some criticism I don't get it. But, when I have one of my own, I like being able to openly express it.

I don't have a problem expressing a negative opinion here on SFN. I have said many times here that I don't care for phony phone calls. They are a practical joke that the victim is unaware of. I have no interest in America's Got Talent, Dancing with The Stars, American Idol, or similar shows. I have said that I don't watch such programs, but you won't find me on the AGT forum saying that the show sucks. I just don't have enough interest in the subject to get all worked up about it. I just don't watch it or care about it. And if I lose my SFN street cred by saying the show is better without Jackie, that the show is still as good as ever, that Beth is pretty, and that O & A is hard to listen to, then so be it. Those are my opinions and they are at least as valid as yours, and probably a LOT more honest.
I think there is a real difference between saying you don't like a particular thing and spewing hate and anger and hostility all over the place. Getting rid of all that in your face negativity strikes me as a healthy thing to do. If a guy thinks they should bring back Jackie or that the show was better in the (80's/90's/00's) or whenever, or that Beth is ugly, or that O&A is better than THSS, okay fine you are entitled to your opinion. I just don't see the point of whining, and crying, and carrying on about it for years at a time on a supposedly "Fan" site for the Howard Stern Show.
Take a look at the name of the site, and if you hate the show (not saying YOU do, Morrisb), then go and post all of your childish hostility on the HowardSternSucks website. If there isn't one, take a hint from Muttski and start one of your own. And don't try to pretend that liking the show is somehow less sincere than hating everything and everyone associated with the show that we are supposedly fans of.

Fallon will be the new king of late night. And when he's crowned Howard will turn on him.

Fallon was great. The interview had a fresh feeling, which is rare for guests who have been on before.

And Jimmy's just a likeable guy, which works in a lot of venues, but particularly this show where he can speak freely. This attribute tends to even showcase Howard in a seemingly more pleasant way. I thought it all went very well.

I do agree with those who thought Howard takes over a bit too much and projects. He usually leaves his guests saying "umm, yea, I guess" when he tries to crowbar a thought into their head. :brickwall:

But that was a minor complaint this time. Good job Howeird.

I kinda liked the interview until I learned Beth was going on Fallon's show.It became apparent that Howard licked Jimmy's balls so Beth wouldn't be fucked with.
