Just 13.5 Percent Of Food Workers Make A Living Wage

I'll do something for you that the State will not do - educate you.

Pretend that I own a restaurant, my wife drive a Mercedes, and I pay my employees $1 per week.

    Q: Where do I get this $1?
A: From my customers (this means you). They are the source of all of my revenue.

Q: If the government mandates that I pay my employees $5 per week, where will I find the extra $4?
A: From my customers (this means you) I have no other source of money. My customers provide 100% of my working capital.

Q: If I need an extra $4 from my customers, will I raise my prices or cut my margin?
A: If I cut my margin I will definitely close my business and eliminate my employees. The Market forces prices down and I must control expenses commensurately in order to turn a profit. I do this to make a profit, not to provide jobs - with no profit, I will not do it. I must either raise my prices to cover this expense or cease operations.

Q: Why not just buy your wife a Ford?
A: I did not risk my capital, work every night and weekend and jump regulatory hurdles to drive a Ford.

Q: If I raise my prices, who is actually providing the additional $4?
A: My customers ( you) of course.

Q: If your customers absorb this cost, won't that mean that their money is now buying them less and that they are now poorer?
    A: Obviously.

Q: How will they respond to this lower standard of living?
A: They will vote for politicians who promise to mandate that their employers provide them with a new, adjusted living wage.

    Q: What will that accomplish?
A: Nothing, it will only continue the cycle.

And by "developers" you mean the guy that puts milk and sugar in the coffee you pick up for daddy?

What a joke you are -- too bad everyone can't sit around posting on SFN all day like you. You're so entitled -- you wouldn't last a day under free will, LOL!!!

    Blah, blah blah.

Do all the work yourself -- then buy whatever you want.

Oh, what's that you say? You can't physically do it?

Then pay up bitch and stop leaving us taxpayers to supplement your employees because your cunt wife wants a Benz. And while your at it, how bout a little patriotism. You're living in the greatest country in the world, start acting like you appreciate it or get the fuck out.

Run your faggy restaurant down in central Africa where labor is really cheap. Let's see how you do there you America hating douchebag.

Meanwhile our brothas have been camped out in front of Nike stores for 4 days waiting to buy the latest $265 tennis shoes.?..living wage?......lmao

    *******************

“I’m tryin’ to rock a $2500 pair of shoes for $220. That’s a car on yo’ feet. People gonna be drivin’ around fresh. I’m walkin’ around fresh,” said one shoe fanatic at Arden Fair Mall. “You can buy you a car, I’m gonna buy me a pair of Galaxy Foamposites.”

People waiting in line at several stores in Florida were disappointed when they were told those Nike shoes were not going to be sold because of the overwhelming crowd.

Police in riot gear were at a mall in Orlando when they received the news that the midnight release was cancelled.

Hundreds of people were cleared out of the mall.

My wife does not need to work outside of our home, as a male I provide for her and our children. She is 9 years my junior and likely 5 points hotter than the best image you conjure while chronically pumping off.

Like most Fridays I'll be playing 36 at my club - Have a nice day

Sorry, I replied to your brilliant response to another. I'll get to mine now ..

I concede. All profitable restaurant owners should relocate to South America.

    Where will we eat?

What will the people who: manufacture commercial kitchen equipment, print menus, service ice machines, review restaurants, drive food delivery trucks, service food delivery trucks, cook and wait tables now do for a living?

How about the guy who sold me my Mercedes? The small business owner that services it? The scads of people who depend on them?

All those people will still be here -- the scum, the anti-capitalist America haters that want excess at the cost of the American taxpayer and refuse to pay a wage that will fully support the lives of the their workers, will be gone. The way our founding father intended them to be.

And once again, America will prosper. ALL of America.

I heard roasted insects are big with the locals down there -- better change your menu.

KVK has convinced me to leave a dollar a day for maid service while at the US Open next week. Just trying to do my part to create a living wage....the guilt just got to me...

AHHH. Don't you just love the envy.
I've done more manual labor and had more jobs by the time I was 16 than you probably had in your whole, pitiful existence. I won't count the one off blow jobs you've probably been giving to your boyfriends.

Those who work hard know this works. I've been fortunate to sacrifice lazy, entitled party time when I was young to get me to where I am now. A business owner with 3 great partners I can trust and count on who came from the same background I'm from.

You're just the typical, angry, envious retard I see today who rather complain and blame than actually do anything beneficial for themselves.

Enjoy your Ford. I'll take my Range Rover.

He is a retired millionaire who has homes allup and down the eastern seaboard and has bought his kids houses, but he never seems to do anything but stalk here. Must be from all that Battle damage he suffered in Korea or Panama or Grenada or Disney world !

It's pure comedy how you moonbat, kool-aid guzzling, fox news coma retards throw out the word "envy" when you're lost for a relevant response. As if anyone, anywhere would be envious of you.

You sound like the 400 pound ghetto queen on Jerry Springer who wears clothes that are 10 sizes too small.

    "You jusss jealous."

No, I'm saying that it was ridiculous to force us to pay them $7.25 per hour when we knew they would get another $5-6 per hour from tips, and they were not waitresses. They were counter employees.
  24. Kill Van Kull Full Member

If you couldnt afford to pay an employee $7.25 an hour, then you never had a viable business to begin with.

Typical loud mouth spouting repussican talking points with zero real world experience.

    Whats new?
