just got back from AGT taping in NYC

fuck you, Fuck You, and FUCK YOU ALL...shit was awesome, n indeed one big party. a couple of really good acts (a totally delirious circus-dog act that had the entire (often very hostile) audience roaring...and Howard, Howie n Sharon were often scathingly funny. Ronnie holding court, Jeff the Drunk strong-arming his way up to the very front row, Ralph skulking around, every production fuckup had the audience screaming "SCOOOOTTTTTTTT!!!!!!"...dint see Debbie the Pet Lady tho.

I can't wait to see the show tomorrow. How crazy was the scene? I am going to the noon taping with my 3 daughters and I'd like to make it as smooth as possible. Any suggestion?

Going to the noon show tomorrow. Sounds like an awesome experience. What is the deal with cell phone? Heard you can bring but will have to check. Cannot travel from Jersey without my cell phone. Bringing my daughter also. 14 and already a Stern superfan!

i felt that it was automatically implied...but i should have mentioned the massive plumber's crack he kept showing off...

it was fairly well-behaved for a Howard event, n close to bedlam compared to most tv show tapings. leave ur laptops n tablets at home. dress sharp, solid colors, no white.

Boo n i left our phones home (the tix say "no cellphones or pagers") but plenty brought their phones. out front workers handed out plastic bags with a 2-piece ticket, people with cells, pagers or cameras had to bag their phones n check them. getting it back will delay ur exit.

i met a few old-school SFNers like Otto, Juice, Lori n a couple of others...n one guy id'ed me as "Jettin" when i was walking into a bathroom stall...i asked who he is on here n he said "i just lurk".

ran into Mutt on the way out, i think he was with his girl, we talked for a sec but i had to chase after Boo who was racing to get home...

no cams, man. if Zena entered VIP style then she prolly wasnt searched, so she may have indeed got pix. i expected to see her there but we never connected...

yea many people were dressed sloppily, but i did notice a lot of musical chairs on the ground floor (boo n i got a great seat right at the bottom of the first balcony, dead center behind Howard)...by the time the taping started, all the people up front on the left side of the judges were all very pretty n well-dressed. VIPs were to the right, variously dressed.

did they serve booze?

Get there early. All people shut out from the first show will be admitted prior to any regular ticket-holders from the 5 pm show. VIPs are safe though.

How early should I get there? Have tickets for noon and 5 but with the 2+ hour drive each way I would like to get into the noon one and not have to wait for the 5. How long was the taping?

i'd suggest no later than 10am...the taping was about 4 hours.

AGT will be just like butt bongo feista. A lot of hype and nothing else.The first two or three shows will be fine and possibly do well in the the rating just like XFL then the bottom falls out and NBC fires Howard or cancels the show.
