It's a shame that he's gone. One of the few politicians who actually shot straight and wasn't a party-line drone.

Correct. Im a Ron Paul Constitutional, small government, civil libertarian, fiscal conservative but Dennis was one of the good guys on the other side.

Wish I had known about this contest, I would have contributed and encouraged others to do the same.

Except for new construction there is very little residential or commercial plumbing work that even requires a permit. So the point is that you could make a living with the vast amount of work available without it. And not void any insurance policy.

wtf do you even own a house? almost all plumbing requires a permit besides the aforementioned stuff you wouldn't call a plumber for (stopped up toilet, replacing garbage disposal, changing a faucet out).

remodeling, replacing a boiler, repairs to pipes that arent accessable ...basically anything you cant or shouldnt do yourself requires a permit and inspection

I understand that villages would require the permits, but the work itself doesn't, nor could an insurance company know to void a policy for the work you described.

if your house burns down because of a faulty boiler installation or you need to file a flood claim due to a patched pipe that didnt hold the first thing the insurance investigator is going to do is figure out who installed it, if it was illegally installed your claim will be denied and the policy will be cancelled.
