Mel Gibson on Leno

Discussion in 'Howard Stern' started by Puncher, Apr 28, 2012.

Mel Gibson was on Leno tonight, and he explained the reason for his rant..and he had a good explanation for it all actually. He was in his own home, pissed at that writer because he took too long on a script and he had his own money invested into it..so it ticked him off.

Of course Howie and Robin spun the story in a totally different way..calling him a nutcase and such. Mel admitted he does have a temper, but so do most people. He came off actually pretty decent after the interview.

Howie..of course..will call him an anti-Semite and everything else....when Howie continually makes disparaging remarks about Christians and Catholics...all the time! Typical hypocrisy from Howie..why should anybody expect anything less from the guy.

That's a good explanation? We already knew that. He flew off the handle like a lunatic.

as a member of team mel for life....i will listen, grin, and watch Apacalypto, Braveheart, or Passion again.
afterward, i will laugh at that shithead writer and his shit films.

you people must be insane...how could anyone who is not completely delusional defend mel gibson. the guy is an obvious racist and anti-semite and using a interview on leno to defend him is fucking ludicrous

Howard makes disparaging remarks about Jews all the time. Great "Fox News" argument.

And BTW, I think Gibson is 10 years older than he claims.:eek!:

"It ticked him off" and "he does have a temper, but so do most people" don't come anywhere close to describing the raving, screeching lunacy that peeks out from Gibson's inner darkness from time to time. I think "nutcase" is a much more accurate description than the mild and innocuous phrases you chose. I've seen and heard angry people many times before but have never witnessed anything like the displays of sheer madness of which Gibson is capable.

I can't stand Leno but had to watch last night and I thought Gibson came off poorly. Watching his gee-golly mea culpa before his ass had even warmed the seat and Leno's milquetoast and apparently scripted setups and responses was cringe-inducing.

And as the previous poster noted, Howard lampoons all religions. Between your mentioning of only Catholics and Christians and your disingenuous characterizations of Gibson's outbursts, you appear to have anti-Semitic tendencies. I don't know you personally, I'm just letting you know what you project in your post.

WGAS about movie stars, radio personalities, TV actors, writers temper. I don't tune in, go to movies or read their books because of how they act during personal hours of their private lives off the screen or page.

Mel is obviously dealing with some really dark demons.
That said, I can make the point that it is Mel Gibson who is more normal and well adjusted when compared to Howard.
Mel Gibson is working to create new art on a consistent basis.
Howard only creates if he gets all the marbles he THINKS he should.

If I had the choice to spend time with either, it would be with Mel Gibson.
You could actually have an intellectual conversation with the man.
Howard is so narcissistic it would be impossible to be around him without telling him what a complete tool he is.

Is there video of the appearance anywhere? Youtube? I could only find a short clip.

How could Puncher be an anti Semite & a huge Howard fan? I don't think that was the intent.

That being said, I think Mel Gibson is very troubled. Screaming like that shows some major unresolved rage issues. You are going to go ape shit like that with the writer's wife and kid there? As we say in da 'Burgh, 'Settle dahn'.

Mel Gibson has obviously got issues...and is most definitely anti-semetic....however , this last rant is much ado about nothing...he was pissed at the writer and was venting...who cares?

I got over Mel Gibson years ago. He is what he is. Rest of the world, do the same.

The guy's obviously mentally ill. Most likely bi-polar. I'm surprised nobody acknowledges this -- It's probably easier to paint him as a simple anti-Semite.

Ya know, Mel Gibson is an actor.

i love mel and his movies and rants. racism is ok by me. a little innocent racism never hurt nobody and is a quite normal human instinct. against hitting women though. well maybe just a few light slams when they are REALLY out of line. ie dinner late etc

I try to see both sides of an argument but I look at Mel as clearly drunk on the power of FU money, and boy he FUs a lot these days. He completely cleaned up on PASSION OF THE CHRIST internationally and can do or say whatever he wants without the fear of being Jew blacklisted because basically he could finance his own films if he wants to. I'm in no way defending him but if you or I had the FU$$ he has I bet we'd be running around saying and doing some crazy shit if we had no repercussions.

If Mel didn't hit big with PofC he'd never say or do any of this shit because he'd need to politic himself to work in other proJEWcer and director's films. Is he an anti-semite...of course, is he crazy, you bet, but so are a lot of people I know and YOU. But in Hollywood that's like coaching/GMing in the NBA and hating the blacks, no one has the balls or candor to admit it because they want to have an NBA job.

Mel's dad Hutton Gibson (WWII vet) drilled antisemitism into him when he was young and still hammers it home to anyone who'll listen. And if you think Mel has risen past that you're more gullible than Leno. Anything he says or does shouldn't shock anyone at this point.

Howie lampoons all religions? He thinks Christians are crazy...seriously crazy. He doesn't feel the same about jews because he was raised in a jewish household. He does NOT treat them the same, even though a sycophant like you feels he does. Howie goes on rants all the time..and you call it entertainment. Mel goes on rants, and Howie calls him a crazy anti-semite. Again, more hypocrisy from Howie...and we will see how many of "his fans" tune in to AGT in a few weeks. I am not defending Mel, but he did this in his own house...and wasn't expecting it to be recorded. If you think there should always be peace and harmony in every household, you..like Howie..are a hypocrite.

Dude, if I'm in your house and you start wailing like Mel did, I dont care who you are, Im getting the fuck outta there. No normal person should lose it like that, unless you see your child killed in front of you or some really dark shit like that, but a script?

And hey Mel, you do look fucking old. But being an pandering, overindulged, racist misogynist douchebag might do that to a guy.

All Mel Gibson needs to do is to buy a home in the Hamptons and agree to attend one party Beth wants to go to...

What? You gonna tell me I'm wrong...
  22. relsh Full Member

all that considered...he's better than you. the world is better off he was born, and it is irrelevant to the world that you were born.

    go figure?
  23. Brown Jenkin Full Member

To each his own if you like sheer doucheiness. But supporting a flaming, blithering, slobbering douche like Gibson is sad and pathetic. But yeah, go for it!

Gibson is a scary bastard. Why would you pay money to be entertained by him, when there is so much out there?

I can watch The Three Stooges, for example......
