Biden Calls Himself 'Middle Class Joe,' Owns Mansion

Joe Biden, speaking in Ohio today, said that he is "tired of being called a 'Middle Class Joe.'"
While it's not clear who actually calls the vice president that, it is clear that his house and finances tell a different story. Here's a picture of his home (not his official vice presidential residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington, D.C.):

Does the article even say anything about his charitable contributions or are you just (like always) making shit up?

How little you know...Biden is notorious for his low charitable contributions.
So I found an article to prove him right and make you look like the asshole you are...

    Enjoy!

Pretty much a career politician...40ish years...and he wants to be known as 'middle class joe'....... You just can't make this shit up.

Ohh, and this middle class home is worth $2,856,950....

I guess I'm missing the point here. Doesn't it say he is tired of being called a middle class Joe?

Help me out here, I'm not seeing the irony.

It says he's tired of being called a middle class joe. He's the Vice president of the god damn USA, can't imagine him saying he's a middle class citizen, nor do I see where he says this about himself in this article or rather this "news snippet". Just stretching words and reaching on this one. Come on Zim we're at war with Afghanistan, you can do better than this.

For a member of the senate or congress he is definitely middle class if not lower class. Hes not even a millionaire. Thats pretty poor in congress terms. Ask Darrell Issa.

    FAIL!
"Actually, according to Nexis, the only person who has referred to Biden as “middle class Joe” has been Biden himself. In an early April speech on college affordability, he said, “I always get criticized for being middle class Joe, which I’m proud of, but I’m middle class Joe and I always talk about the middle class.”

And: “I know I’m characterized in the press as, you know, middle class Joe, like . . . I’m not sophisticated,” he complained last September.

The vice president’s sensitivity to perceived insults about his allegedly middle class status seems to go back to 2009. At a conference that May, Biden referred to himself as “old middle class Joe,” before launching into an indignant rant about how he’s always being put down for it."

Thanks for pointing this out, although we have bigger problems than this. I wish you weren't such a one sided "support my party no matter what" kinda guy. You seem to have a real interest in politics but seem to support even the failures of the R's and hope for the D to fail even if it means America fails.

D's are the same, and you are just as bad as them, just on the other side of the coin. I've read many of your psots where you get on some "suck my dick" shit and it makes you look dumb. A republican that swears and talks loud is usually a hypocritical loud mouth idiot. Like a coffee shop liberal, all awkward on purpose but trying to act all deep and smarter than thou. You are just as bad as them, you should take a look at your politics and or values, Republicans need a make over and need to stop appealing to loud mouths like you.

At least his name is actually Joe unlike conservatard hero/bullshit artist Joe the (unlicensed)Plumber.

So true....but I'm starting to feel actual outrage at all these bullshit threads that mean absolutely nothing. It's tiresome. Zimmie actually took the time to find a pic of Biden's "mansion", which to me looks more like a big house, not a mansion, and start a thread about something Biden said he doesn't want to be called yet Zimmie said he calls himself that despite the fact that Zimmie's OP, first sentence says the opposite.

I agree 100% that we have bigger problems than this. I did, however, point out to you and ChrisfromVegas that Joe, himself, was responsible for calling himself middle-class. He's a gaff-a-minute V.P. who makes Dan Quayle look like a genius.

As for me 'supporting the failures of the R's', I disagree. I've expressed my dismay at George W. Bush for spending like a liberal, but I'm not going to stand by while the left calls him the worst POTUS in history, because that's simply not true. Jimmy Carter was easily the worst in recent memory.

You mean like the faux outrage about Romney's dog riding in a dog carrier on the roof and the trumped-up allegations that he was a bully in high-school? Couldn't agree more.

It's worth almost 3 million... just like all middle class homes.... :frantic:

I didn't say it was middle class, I said it didn't look like a mansion, just a large home. There are 2 bedroom 1 bath apt's in NYC worth 2 or 3 million dollars depending where they're located. I have a different idea of what a mansion is. Why do you care?

Can't stop thinking about me again?
  23. NCMike06 Full Member

It's on a lakefront, and it might be on multiple acres of land...ohh, and its NOT in NYC.

I enjoy exposing leftwing hypocrisy... thats the extent of my 'caring'.

When I post something, and that post includes nothing except your name, that might mean I can't stop thinking about you.... but, we both know who does that, right ?
  24. sir1us Full Member

The funniest thing is that they act like these are the reasons they weren't going to vote Obama/Biden in 2012. We all know they are just going to vote down the same column anyway, all this does is just perpetuate their fake outrage and hypocrisy. Plenty of Right wing guys who are career politicians and still claim to be "one of the people", pretty sure one of them is running for President right now.

Leftwing hypocrisey because I said it didn't look like a mansion? You're nutty.

I live on a lakefront too. I am most certainly middle class. I have seen mansions, they are enormous, his house looks like a large lovely home. Yes expensive.

My point about the cost of an apt in NYC was that the price, which I believe you cited, doesn't mean it's a mansion, it just means that's how much it cost.

I am still suprised at how much you read into, assume, conclusion jump at the simplest of statements.

    Leftwing hypocrisey :jj2::jj2:
