It's Hepatitis C. That's why they wouldn't let him fight in Affliction a few years ago, the California commissioner just said he's "never get sanctioned in America." And then like a year ago I think a Korean company was going to use him but they said he had Hepatitis. It's crazy because people have known all along but he's still fought a couple times. The latest rumor is he got an Italian lab to say he doesn't have it anymore but I don't understand why Overeem would risk his career like that.

I like the show Shaq vs and this would be a perfect episode. But I dont want to see someone who has no idea how to grapple ( Shaq ) for any amount of time. I want to see a fight much like he did against Shane Mosley.

Okami vs Belfort at UFC 122.

    Winner becomes #1 contender

I recently rewatched Vitors first 2 fights in the UFC. He was 19 years old at UFC 12.

Is he the youngest to ever fight in the UFC?
  5. monsoonboy47 Full Member

Those early Vitor fights are fun to watch. There's one where he's just pummeling this fat white guy. Also love his beatdown on Wanderlei Silva. I'm pretty sure the youngest fighter to fight in the UFC was an 18 year old Dan Lauzon, younger brother of Joe.
  6. Fluffhead Full Member

Yeah, that fat white guy got his face pounded.

i think wanderlei would love a rematch

Hmmmm I like Rampage but is there anyway he could get in on Machida and drop hammers? I hate the way Machida fights its so boring but his style makes it hard to hit him. Well except for his last fight which was wonderful.

I think Machida will win this one.

Assume Shogun beats Evans when they fight.(in 2011)

Are we looking at Machida vs Shogun III?

I was hoping for Rampage vs Jon Jones. Lets find out how good Jones really is......

Dana has also stated that the winner of Bader vs. Little Nog could be in the title mix too.
  11. Fluffhead Full Member

I can understand Nog being in the mix.

Bader does not really have the resume yet though. But he did have a big win over my friend Eric Schafer, maybe thats why I dont like him.

    UFC 118 Paydays

Frankie Edgar: $96,000 (includes $48,000 win bonus)
    def. B.J. Penn: $150,000

Randy Couture: $250,000 (no win bonus)
    def. James Toney: $500,000

Demian Maia: $68,000 ($34,000 win bonus)
    def. Mario Miranda: $8,000

Gray Maynard: $46,000 ($23,000 win bonus)
    def. Kenny Florian: $65,000

Nate Diaz: $60,000 ($30,000 win bonus)
    def. Marcus Davis: $31,000

They are actually paying these guys better. Toney getting 500,000 is crazy though.

    http://lyotomachida.net/2010/07/why-lyoto-thinks-rampage-is-an-ideal-opponent/

The Dragon talks Silva, Rampage, Shogun, and his fighting future.

I wish he spoke English. Loyoto is usually very honest when asked a question. No PC bullshit. He even ranked the top 4 fighters in his division in this interview. Check it out, very good interview.

The best fight the UFC could put together today but will never happen would be Machida vs Silva. Too bad we will never see that.

$500k for Toney is insane. He came in looking like a marshmallow. And that was Toney "slimmed" down.

Randy got him down on a weak single and Toney fell like a house of (fat) cards. Randy even having to be in the octagon with that guy was disrespectful to the Hall of Famer.

BJ put in another disappointing performance. Is Edgar that good or is Penn losing his skills? Penn was taken down several times and could not really land a clean shot.

I'm a fan of BJ but wonder whether this is a case of Edgar having his number or BJ is back to his old ways.
  16. monsoonboy47 Full Member

I think Shogun vs. Silva would be an even better fight and that's within the realm of possibility.

Also, Jon Jones recently said he's probably going to fight the winner of Bader vs. Little Nog.
  17. Fluffhead Full Member

Edgar is pretty good. But BJ seemed uninterested. I hope he goes up to 170. Some good fights for him at 170. Hardy, Shields, Kampman, Condit... these would all be awesome fights to see BJ in.
  18. Fluffhead Full Member

Jones vs Nog or Bader would be cool.

    http://mmajunkie.com/news/20518/thiago-alves-vs-john-howard-targeted-for-ufc-124.mma

Loud mouth Dana does not back up his tough talk.....again.

After UFC 117 he said alves was "done" fighting at 170. He was "pissed" that he missed weight again. Well, Alves will still be fighting at 170.

Dana is good at giving quotes, then a month later he does not follow through. The dude is a douche, and the UFC will be better off once he has a heart attack and dies.

He didn't look that impressive at the Moosin PPV earlier this year but it looks like overall he's been pretty solid the last couple of years.

Yves is responsible for my favorite MMA knockout of all time:

That was bad ass. Probably in my top 5.

    W Silva over Jardine
    W Silva over Rampage
    Rampage over W Silva
    Yves over Thomson
Rashad Evans over some white guy / Gonzaga over Cro Cop (Both Kos head Kick)

off the top of my head, those are my favorite KOs

Saw that too. I was never really impressed with him, what do you think about Karo Parisyan coming back to UFC? I thought he got the Nick Diaz ban....
  24. CrazyLocoDude Full Member

That was a dirty KO. I bet dudes face was hurting for a few days after the shin to the nugget.

Wow, I just posted something the other day about Dana and his tough talk. I am so sick of that fat piggy looking douche. He is slamming his fist and talking shit. Then a few months later he backs off of it. Dana is "Twitter tough guy".

I am glad Karo is back, I just wish Dana would shut the fuck up.
