    yeah... that almost goes without saying, Monk has a nice solo version of it too on his live in San Fran.

    About 3:50 in that recording Coltrane just wants to go nuts... but he realizes he's playing a ballad... so he cools it. I love it.

    I bought this (VHS) almost the day it came out (i think it was in '92 or so)... he gets up and walks around in half of the songs. He's wearing great loafers too. :p

    He almost falls off the piano bench in one of the tunes in this performance... he was contorting so hard trying to reach a note ...a last second decision on a harmony he needed to get out.

    I saw this dude in July 2000 at the Blue Note in the village... 4 nights in a row. He flew back to Brazil and died 1 month later (I bootlegged each night)
