I'd put Mariachi Kid in over Sand Dude. Everything else I agree with.

Although there is a huge Latin contingency that might put him over the top, his performance was pitchy and it felt like the song was out of his range given his age. Yes, I liked him as well, but when someone said he was like Jackie Evancho I was stunned. Jackie sings opera in Italian and has perfect pitch on everything she does. There is no comparison. I think Sharon said that. What is she thinkin?

He really did bring it home on the final big build up to the songs end, it felt a little forced though.

Here's Jackie for those that have never heard her. She's stunning, remarkable and has perfect pitch. I think she swallowed a 300 pound, 40 year old, opera diva. Don't know where she hides her cuz she's a tiny thing.

They blocked it here's the youtube just click on it it will take you to youtube

Hearing Jackie sing can restore your faith in mankind, she's a shining example of how beautiful humanity can be. She has that undefinable quality that touches you no matter what language or genre she sings in. In my opinion no one on any of these talent contests has even come close to the level of her talent or the depth of her performances. Her humble personality only adds to her appeal. Great job by her parents keeping her grounded and down to earth. Like Howie said, she's an angel.

I could not believe she lost to some country bumpkin, even he was amazed when they announced the winner. He knew she was better by a, "country mile".

Boy, did America get that wrong. Or did they? Could the numbers have been fudged? It was obvious from the first time anyone heard her sing she was going to be a huge star. Maybe AGT wanted two stars out of it and knew Jackie didn't need to win to succeed. They'd get two for the price of one season, opera and country. I don't listen to country so I'm not sure how country guy has done. My conspiracy mind never rests.

I could be missing the boat on him and I totally agree. He was originally on my list. Like I said he could have a huge Latin following and the Latins rally behind stuff. I'm just hoping more people saw and heard what I heard. His back up band sure is tight.

UCLA did a study to determine what people retain and after their study they concluded that people remember the first thing they see in a sequence of events, and the last. The last being the most prominent, everything in the middle gets jumbled up and not retained as much. The kid did it right he went out with a bang, only problem was it was out of key but it was closer than the rest of his performance.

Right now I'm 7 out of 8 prediction wise, I'm hoping the kid doesn't fuck my average.

The Mariachi Kid's voice was a little weak last night, but I think he will have the votes. Personally, while I found the dogs entertaining, I wasn't overly impressed. I actually liked the clogging crew, and an entire show could be built around their act. The same with the instrument guy, his act last night proved he could put together a decent show.

Last night was a tough night. The producers packed some of the best talent into one night. That was a little unfair IMO as talented acts from last night will be cut, while acts with less talent have already made it through.

I really hope people get the sand artist thing, the guy is Picasso/James Cameron in story/art motion, he knows how to convey a big message in a small time period. His use of shadow and transparency is original as far as I know. The medium he works in is so unique and unusual. He truly is an original, one of a kind. If he does get voted off it would be a real loss, I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with next. Maybe he'll do the big bang, the birth of the universe, stars burst into existence, accretion forms the planets and moons, life takes root, Ameba morphs into swimming creature, fins morph into 4 legs, a reptile goes onto land 4 legs morph into two legs, man rises from Neanderthal to stand up Homo Sapien, then the space shuttle blasts off from a launching pad, back out into space from whence we came, to the International Space Station. Full circle, like salmon we're compelled to return to our origins where we were spawned.

He's something you'd see at Burningman and just be floored. That's really his audience and his people, Blackrock City would freak over him and his talent.

I never heard how he got started with this approach to art. If I had to guess I'd say he had one of those old overhead projectors they use to use at school and he, accidentally, or on purpose, spilled sand on it and started finger painting with the sand. Voila. An art form was born. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

The other thing I find compelling about his medium is, it is temporary, it's there then it's a memory, lost in time, like tear drops in the rain. Man, I love that line. Stole it from Blade Runner.

I wonder why they have not asked him how he came up with it?

Those are the four I want, but I think the kid Sebastian gets in over the Sand Artist. I expect Sand Artist to be back as a Wild Card regardless.

That is fucking hilarious, well done. You made me laugh out loud. Thanx, I needed that. :) Actually I just read it again and it made me LOL again.

I have to say I like Diddleman but this trick was the first one that I think I figured out easily the others 2 he did I have no idea how he did them-

I could be totally wrong but all the cases said NO Deal if you open them right side up but Deal if you open them upside down because he opened case 4 upside down

then the envelope had a typed paper with a dial on it allowing him to slide the number to the correct number before turning it to show the judges I am figuring it has a two digit system you can either show the 1 or hide the 1 and then you just rotate the second number so in this case, hide the 1 then show the 4 boom The target is case 4 open the case upside down easy trick
  14. buckefilbert Full Member

Good eye. I'm terrible at figuring tricks out I just sit back and get totally dumbfounded. Diddleman really could befuddle an entire audience for an entire performance, he's tailor, Vegas made.

His stage name should be, Diddleman the Befuddler.

Our NBC channel is being monopolized by a Detroit/Cleveland baseball game so no AGT for us tonight. I am relying on SFN to keep me updated on who goes through and I pray to God that Horse, the Dogs, and the Cannonball guy DO NOT make it through. If I wanted to see that crap, I would watch Jackass or go to a circus.
  16. buckefilbert Full Member

Apparently MLB doesn't realize it's fuckin with, The King of All Media. Watch yourself!!! You could be admonished. If not at least censured.

    3 outta 4 ain't shabby.

u can see his thumb move under the envelope and u can even see him glance down quickly as his thumb moves to look at the number
  19. Douchebag_AZ Full Member

I wanted Human Cannon Ball guy to win.. That shit was cool
  20. buckefilbert Full Member

Yes, but his whole act is an encore, how many times can you watch the guy blow himself up? On top of that most Vegas shows are indoors with an audience what does he do in that case blast himself into the rafters? One show and that's that, over and out. Very limited in it's scope.
  21. Douchebag_AZ Full Member

Good points I just got a kick out that shit, made me laugh and say to myself " that was fucking awesome" .. Those tap dance guys should have never made it that far. I also like Turf and will keep voting for him.
  22. buckefilbert Full Member

Turf is my one wrong vote so far this season. I knew he'd go through but I resisted because he makes my bones and muscles hurt watching him. Very unnatural for those of us that don't bend in those directions. I was not thinking about my over all prediction average though. Duhhh..
  23. Douchebag_AZ Full Member

Never said you were I was just commenting about other contestants in my rambling in my post,
  24. buckefilbert Full Member

    Yes Turf is unique
