Never seen such incredible hatred against Howard

Between this board and the Dawg Saloon, it's a constant drumbeat of inane insults. Look, I like to critique as much as the next guy, but the last few days are out of control.

I like Howard. He's not a laugh riot. He's not subersive anymore. And sometimes the act seems a little stale. But I still find him interesting and I'm still listening.

So I'm gonna throw out a little positivity right now.

Good luck to Howard on AGT.

This place is pretty tame compared to dawgssaloon.

Because that's where many members went to after they left here.

The folks here have learned from the best.

I agree that some people go out of their way to just bitch and try to be as mean as possible.

But other people, myself included, like some things and dislike others. We're not all Bobo. We're not all going to love every single thing that comes from the show.

Yes! Most of us on here are between Bobo and the "haters." Both points of view are uninteresting and predictable. No matter what happens, the haters will say the show sucks. No matter what happens, Bobo will say the show is awesome. It's like Howard's critique of Rush Limbaugh, that all he does is toe the Republican line. What I find interesting on this board are the posts that are funny or that have a point of view more nuanced than "show sucks"/"show's awesome". And there are plenty of those here.

there isn't much to like of the "stern show-version" of howard.....he's boring in all facets of his life (no need to explain) and opinions (only attacks easy targets that people got tired of attacking long ago).......only entertaining in a perverse way (how lame will he be today compared to the guy that made me a fan of his show?).

If there was no Ronnie/JD/etc., the show would have no value (robin, fred, and booey are parrots). The only time hoard is funny anymore is when he busts his underling's balls (or ETM).

We are allowed to give honest critiques and reactions. I love some content, hate just a little of it, and am frustrated by the rest because I know it could be better.

I also think Howard, et. al, read these boards to see what is working and what isn't, but would never admit it. His reaction to Judd Apatow/Natalie Maines' comments was way out of whack if it were not supplemented by other opinions, such as those on these boards.

Besides, there is some seriously funny shit posted by members here. He'd be smart to read it.

How can one be positive when the guy does an average of two shows a week and does not put much effort even into those short weeks?

It's not honest criticism that I despise. Hell, I've chimed in on his constant fallback questions about penis size in his interviews.

But it's the level of personal vitriol. It's quite disturbing.

You got that right.......hasn't been in a long time which is why I cancelled Sirius.

Never was........it was all an act. But at least he was funny and he put a 100 times the effort into the product that is until the show evolved. More and more it's sounding like he needed to change the way he did things so he could hook both himself and his wife up with the TV shows. So the way I look at it is that he kind of sold a bill of goods to the loyal listeners like myself who were chomping at the bit to renew for the second go round because we were expecting better things like he was shilling when he was on the air.
Did I get duped.

A little stale?

Before I quit listening week old bread was better than what he was offering on the live shows when he found the time to prepare something decent for us to stick around to listen to. There were some days where he would start his whining 5 minutes into the show and it just killed the entire experience so I had no choice but to shut him off.
