    I've been looking over satellite pics all week and there are STILL assholes who can't understand why there's a problem getting people out.
    i guess they figure everyone can levitate.     :rolleyes:

    absolutely devastating. my wife's family is all from new orleans. luckily her family was able to evacuate, but their homes are gone. for those who haven't been to new orleans before katrina, i truly feel sorry for you, because it was a beautiful city - unlike any other i've been to. unfortunately, it will never be the same again.

    New Orleans was one of the places I've always wanted to visit but never had the funds to do so.
    I have a friend who wrote a story that takes place there. and, of course, everyone knows the stories by Ann Rice who lived in New Orleans for years until rencently. Because of it's reputation and cultural center it was a city that was bigger than it's acreage.

    It will be missed - even by people like me who have never been there.
