As a nfl fan with no horse in the playoff race this year? I wanted to see a team rise up and play great on both sides of the ball. The Giants did this game after game.Congrats to them and their fans....

only sore losers can't give the other team an ounce of credit, if the Pats made the catch in the endzone or even if Gronk caught it, sure I'd be pissed off for a few days but eventually I'd give the Pats the credit they deserve. Their fanbase makes it hard to give them credit, they've been spoiled and when they dont win the SB or make it into the playoffs they start crying like bitches, no camera = no wins

I can't believe that the Giants win the Superbowl and this thread is STILL even arguing with ALC. Holy shit. STFU already....you have NO argument and you ALWAYS end up looking dumber than before you begin to type.

I also can't believe that this team that was 9-7 (which I saw coming a mile away) ended up winning it all (which NONE of us did). Great run, soaking it up and loving the fact that I have a team that doesn't suck (Mets, Knicks, Islanders.....ugh).

Oh, come on, I predicted they'd go all the way at pre season...

    NOT.

No one is more shocked than me that this team even made the playoffs let alone won it all with all the circumstances of this year. Very impressive and Coughlin forever gets a pass from me. I am not allowed to ever say shit about him again.

i think they would gladly trade losing 100 reg season games ina row.to the skins, for beating the pats in 2 superbowls.

They are even teams. Giants won all 3 games, but if a couple bounces go the Patriots way they could easily be 3-0.

People love to say they had a horrible defense using the ypg, but forget the Giants gave up more points this season. Defense held Giants to 17, 24, and 21 points in those games. The defense didn't lose those games as the Giants defense won them. You can only play the teams on your schedule and the Giants lost to cupcakes in Washington, Seattle, and Philly while playing in a shit division. They lost to Giants by 4 points or less each game while you guys are acting like the Giants won easily each time.
  7. A.Lange=Crazy Full Member

No the opposite is exactly my point. It's Any Given Sunday for a reason. If the best team won every game then gambling would be easy as hell.
  8. johnni44 Full Member

Are you really this stupid or is this schtick???

Even teams? You are a delusional asshole if you even believe that for a second. The score doesn't begin to reflect just how far the Pats are from the Giants. You wanna bring up points given up by the Giants as compared to the Pats but you seemingly fail to remember who each team played. Pats played nothing but shit teams all year long. Total shit teams and played in a horrible division too boot. Meanwhile, the Giants played NO, GB, SF. Even Philly and Dallas that the GIants played twice are vastly better than any team in the AFC east. Please go ahead and tell me that any team in the AFC east is better than the above two.

So what the fuck are you talking about again, dummy? As for your idiotic statement of the Giants defense won them. YOu are a total idiot. Last I checked the D didn't score a single point. Or were all the offensive pts. luck?

Just stop while you're far behind. Not only do all the Giants fans know you're a total homer shithead but all the others who root for other teams on this board are now laughing at you too.

If the Giants are so much better why did you need last minute comebacks?
  10. johnni44 Full Member

If they are so even why are the Pats 0-3?? And that's w/o the Giants having a single home game!
  11. Lou Lamoriello Full Member

The NYG are a better team than the Patriot, they proved it in the Super Bowl last week. As far as last minute comebacks and losing to shitty teams in the regular season, that's irrelevant. Last Sunday the NYG won the Super Bowl, the only thing the Patriots won this year was the AFC Championship.

ALC getting owned again. Do you ever get tired of it ALC?
  13. sir1us Full Member

Sure the Giants lost to the Redskins twice in the reg season but this is the same Giants team that beat NE at home, first team to do so in 31 games, I actually enjoy when everyone downplays the GMEN because winning it all is the biggest middle finger you can give to every hater, critic and ignorant homer football "fan" like ALC. If you want to keep arguing about the regular season go ahead, every team, and I mean EVERY team has their ups and downs with the exception of GB this year, but the Giants roller coaster season was still one to remember, and I'm pretty sure even the godly Patriots would have a tough time facing SF, GB, NO, in a row, it's a brutal schedule and that's reality, not an excuse. The 4 losses really showed the charactor this Giants team had, they could have folded like the Jets and started turning on each other, but they banded together, fed off each other's energy, got key players healthy, simplified schemes and just started dominating, starting with the Jets and running it all the way to Indy. I think that's something that gets lost in the mix, the Giants had amazing chemistry together, between Eli and his WR's, Tuck, Boley, Rolle and the D started communicating better, and it showed on the field. Meanwhile you have the wife of the losing QB calling out other players, just doesnt seem like the Pats were on the same page, team chemistry matters, exactly why the Eagles and Jets were nothing but hype, same with the Pats. Why did they need so many comebacks? That was back when the secondary was getting torched, miscommunication all around, and because that's the nature of the game dumbass, 99% of games are competitive by going back and forth, we as Giants fan discovered when your down in the 4th and Eli has the ball...good things will happen.

Anyone have the link to the screaming "We won" Giants fan Howard played on the show this week?
And who cares who the best team may be in any sport all that matters is the final champion and the Giants are them!

    133 - 115

Do you know what those above numbers represent, dodo? The first number represents the cumulative win total of the teams the Giants had to play. The second is the cupcake otherwise known as the Pats schedule.

This is the only reason the two teams met in the SB. So please, stuff the 'even' shit up you ass where it belongs.

If you think for a second the Pats play the Giants schedule and wind up in the playoffs you seriously need a clue.

That is almost a 20 game differential. That is as big a differential as you will ever see between two teams facing each other.

The Giants not only had a ton of injuries but because of those injuries the players who were healthy, ie Antrele Rolle, were playing out of position. If the Giants had every player available they should be an 11 or 12 win team with a top 10 ranked defense.

The Giants did lose to some bad teams, which is expected for most teams. There are always let downs and trap games through the course of a season. But schedules aside, the Giants won 6 straight elimination games to end their season beating the Cowboys, Jets, Falcons(10-6), Packers(15-1), 49ers(13-3), and Pats(13-3). If you want to attribute that to luck then I guess Tom Coughlin must have a horseshoe up his ass.

The Pats beat the cupcakes and lost to the 2 winning teams they played (Pitt, NYG) and they caught a break in the playoffs with the Broncos at home. They got very very very lucky to beat the Ravens and proceeded to lose again in the SB to the Giants. If any team is lucky it's the Pats.

Before you bring up divisions just remember that the AFC East is not exactly a power house division with the 8-8 Jets and the 6-10 Dolphins and Bills.

I personally don't care about your opnions on any sports because I don't even think you believe some of things you write. But as a Giants fan, I take satisfaction in the fact that the NY GIANTS ruined the Pats perfect season and then denied Bill and Brady a 4th SB in 2012. I still have a smile on my face from Sunday's game....oh yeah I also won a fortune!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. sir1us Full Member

all great points, but ALC is like the moron conservative that still believes Obama is a muslim, facts go right over his head. AFC East is one of the most lopsided divisions in the NFL and he has the gall to say the NFC East is shit, which is ironic since the Giants beat every team in the AFCE this year. NFCE like I said is typically a 3 horse race between the Giants, Eagles and Cowboys, when was the last time the Bills, Fins or Jets were threatening to win the east?
  18. MartyBrodeur30 Full Member

True. I think ALC knows exactly what's going on but he's distracting everyone from what happened on Sunday. His Pats will always have the Coughlin-Eli cloud covering their "dynasty" and ALC understands this. Remember that ALC is the same guy who brought up the Mets 5 minutes after the SuperBowl ended. He loves to deflect. He knows what happened and if he's a real fan it will take him a long time to get over it.
  19. A.Lange=Crazy Full Member

Patriots had a weak schedule, but you're acting like they are one hit wonders. They dominated the AFC since Brady took over. They beat the Eagles, Cowboys, and Redskins so don't act like the NFC East is some great division.

Jets the previous two years made it to the AFC title game while outside the Giants no team from the NFC East has done shit in the playoffs.

11-5 is a fair estimate. At worse they go 9-7 like the Giants.

So when the Pats win, that proves they are the better team.

When the Giants win, it is because they got a bounce and are lucky.

    Makes sense.....
  22. A.Lange=Crazy Full Member

No one win doesn't prove the better team. Ravens are better than the Patriots and they got lucky with drop and missed FG. Just proves the better team doesn't win every time. If that happened I could be a tout like Ferrell.

If one team is 3-0 against another, and the team that won all 3 games never had a home game, would you say that team is better or just lucky to get 3 wins away from home?
  24. acefree Full Member

what about 3 wins? what if it goes to 6 wins... 10 wins... at some point in time...

speaking of ferall touting, thats when i stopped listened. biggest unethical scam ever, n its incorporated into the show.
