Obama - Clinton 2012

If she runs as Obama's VP in 2012, she will be the VP until 2016. I know you don't like Obama, but I wonder if you are perhaps just a bit upset that Hillary was not the primary winner in 2008? That primary was a bitter fight and a lot of people are still angry over what happened. But you better believe if she joins the ticket as the VP candidate, those same people will vote for her and Obama.

You also have to ask yourself what you think is going to happen in the next two years. If Obama's plan to start ending the war in Afghanistan in mid 2011 and the market improves (jobs), there is nothing the Republicans can do short of a major scandal. I think they are hoping that they can launch a war against the Obama administration if they take congress and people will somehow want to vote for them in 2012. It didn't work against Bill Clinton and I don't think it will work against Obama.

I think she would be a great VP candidate and think she will do the smart thing. Combining the Clinton and Obama political machines is a force to be reckoned with.

I do not think age will be an issue for her. I really believe that if McCain had picked Romney, he would be president. McCain is a fossil and even with a dead fish like Palin he managed to get 47% of the vote.

Do you know what happens when a politician remains angry after losing a hard battle? They fade into non-existence. She is very smart and her anger with Obama is long gone.

Hell, most of the Republicans and Democrats in congress are great friends with each other. What you see in the media during campaign season is not a true reflection of how those politicians think.

Something will happen that will herd up the sheep to vote Obama. Obama seems to be slowing down with his nonsense so he can get 4 more years. If he starts with his global warming taxes and gun bans then hes planning on being a one term pres.

I agree with all of this, except I don't have quite as much confidence in Obama's ability to get re-elected. Not just yet. Unlike the repubs here, I think a landslide Republican victory in November will only benefit Obama. The Newt Gingrich victory helped sweep Clinton into a 2nd term. The country loves having the push and pull of different parties running the different branches.

Yeah, I was kind of bummed when Clinton didn't win the primary. Obama triggered my dickhead-radar from the beginning. I always felt he was an actor more than anything else. Great with a script. Very handsome and popular, everything handed to him in his life. And I could feel the Machiavellian ego just dripping off of him. Clinton is also Machiavellian, but in my opinion she's far more intelligent and shrewd than he is and would be a good President.

If you think you can call the 2012 election in Oct of 2010, then you're a fool. Remember how quickly Obama's popularity dropped? It was a matter of months, if not weeks before the high of his inauguration became buyer's remorse.

Also, the Tea Party thing is more a revolt against incumbency than the Democratic Party. If anything, there will probably be some populist Tea-ish 3rd party candidate for President in '12 who will siphon off votes from an uninspiring Republican candidate and usher Obama to victory.

I did. Voted for her in the primary while I was living in Chicago. That was a wasted vote as Chicago will make sure that whatever Daley wants, Daley gets at the polls. Never fails.

Yes, being the bi-racial child of a middle class single mother in the 2nd half of the 20th century made everything a total breeze.

If it keeps going like it is she will quit and run against Obama. She can beat him this time. Hell she beat him last time if the democrats allowed the votes from Florida and Michigan to be counted.

Dude, we're not talking about 1950 here. Obama entered adulthood in the 80's. Being a very tall, handsome, bi-racial man who also can talk a good game is akin to being a hot chick. People will give you opportunities.

Secondly, I don't know what qualifies for middle-class in your world, but he was in a private prep school from 5th grade on and was able to swing Columbia University and Harvard. His "poor" Kenyan dad also went to Harvard. If anything being bi-racial probably afforded him scholarship and job opportunities in the ultra-PC late 80's and early 90's. Not saying he's not smart or dedicated to his work, but he obviously comes from privilege.

The Clinton's hate Obama..The only reason she accepted her present job is because it is very prestigious to be SoS. He offered it to keep tabs on her. The way his administration is headed no way she wants to be part of his legacy in a slackjaw job as VP.
