I don't agree - John McCain was a weaker candidate. Mitt is not a weak candidate on paper. His problem is that he is too cautious.

Not even close. McCain actually had a slim chance until he named Palin as his running mate. That is the move that ended ANY chance he had of winning. Romney has no chance and he hasn't even gotten his parties nomination yet.

I was going to vote for McCain in 2000 but that POS Bush got away with blackballing him. There was no choice at that point other than Gore.

And look at the devistation Bush brought us. And McCain became a fraud after that. No way would he ever get my vote.

Actually if you look back at the track of the polling McCain was behind and stayed there until he picked Gov. Palin as his running mate. Albeit brief, McCain finally got a lead on Obama after Gov. Palin's speech at the convention. She helped galvanize the base of the party behind his candidacy - believe me when I voted for McCain in 2008 it was a vote for Gov. Palin, and before that I hadn't given too much thought for the bottom of the ticket when standing in the voting booth.

When he picked her, he got a brief bump in the polls. Once she was exposed for the nitwit that she is, it was the end for the McCain campaign.

No, the banking crisis was the end of the McCain campaign. John McCain was drawing minuscule crowds to his campaign events until Sarah Palin came on board. She helped bring the base of the party behind his candidacy and I would submit that the election results would have been worse if she wasn't on the ticket. You can drag out the Liberal narrative on Palin all you want - at the end of the day she was more qualified to be President than the community organizer who has made a complete mess of almost everything.

Sarah Palin was (and still is) an actual Conservative. John McCain was (and still is) a RINO who voted against the Bush tax cuts and brought us such gems as campaign finance reform.

Just what I thought. Voting for Romney would be a throw away vote just like voting for Obama in 2008.

I would keep that quiet if I was you. Unless you want to be the next ellococrazy, tonyjax or thisfacebangsbeth.

Admitting what you said is how it starts, then before you know it, you are telling people they must disprove what you heard on Glen Beck.

Which was pretty much instantly.

You can laugh all you want, but in the absence of real cost controls in Obamacare the only way they had to do it was that panel which is in charge of determining the "appropriate" level of care for elderly patients. Obama himself talked about this during a town hall where he told the daughter of an elderly woman who needed a heart valve or something that it was better to just prescribe a pain pill.
