Obama increasingly comes across as devious and dishonest.

If you really wanted "Hope and Change", you would've voted for Ron Paul in 2008.

strike 2. so I am going to assume that I was right after all...as usual.
"hey man I voted for Obomba" lol

Well then maybe you are a bit naive. But there was hope and change, an African American was elected President and confirmed the dream of America. It was a splendid and historical moment and you and I were fortunate enough to witness it. Obama has done some very good work in his first term, his second term should be very interesting.

You are just not observing correctly. The Affordable Health Care Act, what is considered his signature legislation was largely adopted from the republicans plan they offered as an alternate to Hillary-Care. (Bless her heart, she was ahead of her time.) Romney's people advised him. Obama is about as opposite of hyper-partisan as you can get. He build up forces in Afghanistan and went into Pakistan as he damn well pleased. I don't like his SCOTUS picks though, those two bitches make me very nervous but Obama has governed from the center and has been the recipient of hyper-partisanship from the fucking loons across the aisle. Secret Kenyan born, muslim sleeper agent indeed...

And how the hell do you "know" that??? The CBO scored the bill as deficit reducing.

Well hell, I'm still waiting for him to start his campaign. I've not seen him campaign since 2008.

Romney is an elitist asshole and a vulture capitalist who never created a damn thing, just took them apart and sold the pieces. He and his magic underwear can go fuck themselves.

You never identified the part of the article that you said you agreed with, hell I don't even know if you responded to me but you do sound awful butt-hurt. A lot like Peggy...

What are blabbering about, we are already paying for universal care now, only not in the most efficient and cost effective way.

It's very odd, isn't it? I remember the White House Press Corps dinner during Bush's second term where Steven Colbert was speaking and said the following about Bush:
"He believes on Wednesday what he believed on Monday no matter what happened on Tuesday".
Reading some of the comments on the internet in the following days I couldn't fucking believe how many conservative types thought that was a compliment.
    It boggles the mind.

Dude woke up and started thinking for himself and drawing his own non-biased conclusions instead of being a fucking idealogical robot to any 'side'. Bravo to him. I think he is now, by far, the best poster in this forum.

He started saying dumb shit like 'the CBO scored Obamacare budget positive' (paraphrasing)... anyone who comes out with a retarded statement like that knowing that the CBO has to score bills on what they are given, even if those who submitted them know their figures don't count budgetary omissions that haven't legislatively been enacted at that moment in time is just foolish.

This isn't an indication that there is any thinking at all, let alone for himself.

That said, Mark, I do think you're a good poster, but far off on this one.

Thanks, that's about what happened. I think when you get really tired of and stop tolerating bullshit from both sides, that's when you are really independent.

I used to be a lot more cynical too, but you know what? That is a giant waste of time.

Someone said with age comes wisdom, I'm not claiming wisdom, but there is something to it. One of the biggest changes I've gone through seems to be a deeper appreciation for life and the human struggle for freedom, success, love and enlightenment.

I am probably low on testosterone as well...

Not really. Just an observation. I said a few weeks ago that it looked like you swallowed the kool-aid (or maybe I said Obama's wang or something).

Life changes you. Experiences change you.
This is how you are supposed to be.

When I was 18 I was a member of my college's Young Republicans and also
a member of a college Christian group called 'The Fellowship'.

I am now 37, would be considered a socialist by many and I'm now an athiest.
  19. devolution420 Full Member

BTW, I'm in the disappointed in Obama crowd.
Not nearly leftist enough for my tastes.
Just another leader beholden to corporate special interests.
I was naive to think he was going to be anything other than that.

If I had my way ALL private money would be removed from politics completely.

I was opposite, I was a super lib at 18, but still believed in christianity for some reason.

Then I went to Iraq realized I was an athiest,

Then I went to school, (chose not to have kids until I can easily afford them) got a job, buy my own things and quit being a democrat.

I'm very up the middle now, Fags should be allowed to get married, abortion doesn't bother me, drugs don't bother me, food stamps should be regulated more, welfare and section 8 should be regulated. wars need to end, stripping guns would mean the only people that would have them would be criminals and you should take your turban off when you ride a roller coaster or play sports. Because it is annoying to look at.
