It's the same problem with parents over-praising their kids.. they become incapable of either performing or understanding how to perform and get petulant and act out when things don't go their way. I don't really blame Obama.. a lot of very powerful people decided early on in his life that he would make a great symbol of their guilty sense of social justice and racial blahblahblah and let him coast on his charm. No one wanted to be the first to tell this young man that his abilities are average at best, because that would've been "racist".

As far as I've always heard, he's been mediocre and undistinguished at every job he's had since his mediocre and undistinguished college career. He was a constitutional scholar for years.. did he ever publish one thing in that capacity? He couldn't even write his own autobiography. He had money behind him which allowed him to go ivy league, but so did Bush and we know he was half a bumbling idiot himself.

Because thinking people will always surmise, intellect and character drives someone to rise to POTUS.
