Name one Democrat who proposed legislation allowing doctors to lie to their female patients, allowing employer's to fire women using birth control for sexual reasons, forcing women to go through unnecessary invasive procedures when seeking an abortion, came out against pre natal testing, etc.

    Go.
  2. mr wrong Full Member

And somehow it's all the Democrat's fault for shining a light on these insane ideas brought about by Republicans.

Under any username, tard. I signed up in 2006 for SFN but really didn't use it until a year or two ago.

    Whose mult are you anyway?

Because obviously the stimulus didn't work. There were no jobs created, no long term spending created, no "stimulation" of the economy. I'd like a non partisan link from you showing a benefit to the stimulus because I have plenty that show it was a complete waste.

Ok, now you're going with the "but look at how many jobs were saved" BS... :jj2:

Maybe because the economy is cyclical. And we have a president who prolonged the recession/stagnation.

There is only 1 reason: The enormous price tag. Everyone loves any benefit from anything; no one loves paying for it. And we can't afford it. I admit I don't like the mandate or the government administration of another grandiose entitlement, but if it were free I wouldn't complain. But again, levying $9xx billion in taxes will all come from somewhere, even if people are too stupid to know they will be paying them.

I really don't care if people elect to pay for healthcare or not, I just care that I don't have to pay for them. As much as costs do currently get passed on to those who pay now, the solution isn't to then give non-payers more care.

Let's see what happens is a huge cop-out. You seem to be saying "wait until all of the cost is sunk, and the infrastructure is in place, and then we can't undo it". That's a load of BS.
BTW, I don't like the employer provided benefit model either, but I like it more than mandated employer coverage (or fines being levied) that we'll be getting with Obamacare.

I (and others at my company) have seen and still see many. We have also seen people quit or not show back at work who then use false pretenses to file for UI. We also see those who deliberately get fired to collect UI. Anyone who says this doesn't exist has no clue.
BTW, I don't fault you if you don't know how prevalent it is, but I do.

Obama ignored his own committee, this is his failing. He very well could have run around speechifying their findings like he's doing with the 'Buffett rule' if he wanted to, but he ducked it.
And BTW, I want Republicans holding out for more tax cuts. The ones we've seen so far are just baseline cuts in future years basically removing growth from automatically increasing. The notion that congress today is going to adequately project or cut from budgets 7-10 years from now is fuckin' stupid.

So how are those who can't afford insurance or medical care now going to pay in the future? This I gotta hear.

I've only been to the ER once in the last year. Not sure your point, but the solution to people being treated for free isn't to treat more people and give more services for free. Is it our intent to demotivate this segment even further?

Yes you caught me. I set this account up almost 7 years and 20000 posts ago just to be able to use it as a MULT to make you look stupid.

Equally as absurd as you charging me, retard.
  9. VacateTheWord Full Member

    1. What does that have to do with the issue regarding Obamacare?

    2. You mean the "trigger happy" President who bothered to go to Congress to seek permission before using force - that would be President Bush, by the way, as opposed to President Obama who bypassed Congress when he launched military action in Syria. If Obama is re-elected by some miracle I wonder if he'll ask for Congressional approval before he launches his war against Iran.

Globalization is a ship that has sailed, Mark - you can whine about it all you want but we're not going to go back to the days of the industrial revolution.

You want to stop jobs from going overseas then let's start with the corporate tax rate which is the highest in the world.
  11. VacateTheWord Full Member

    I don't.

What was the unemployment rate when Obama took office? Now, what is the current rate of unemployment? The answers to those two questions will tell you how he has made things worse in one area of the economy.

I never said that deficits and debt don't matter - I have also taken President Bush to task for his spending (don't pretend that I haven't).

But since you brought it up - you do realize that Obama has added more to the debt in 3 years than Bush did in 8 years, yes?
  12. VacateTheWord Full Member

All state issues - if you don't like it then move to another state. Federal mandates like Obamacare are far, far more destructive when it comes to personal liberty.
  13. VacateTheWord Full Member

You're a supposed Mitt Romney supporter - you have a real peculiar way of showing it, my friend.

Do you consider the Ryan budget to be an "insane idea?"
  14. NC-Stern-Mark Full Member

You are way too stoopid and programmed to talk to.

No one is whining about it you dumb cunt, we are examining the good and bad of it and the tax rate is certainly not the driver that is moving manufacturing jobs overseas, that would be the labor saving and that, in itself is a whole other discussion on trade policy, what we allow and why the hell we are allowing it.

And I love the way dumb cunts like you bleat-out your programming about "going back to the industrial revolution" What the fuck is that supposed to mean you asshole?

Let me ask you a question, how in the fuck do you think China has managed double digit growth the past decade? They had their own industrial revolution dumb fuck and it put them on the map as a global powerhouse, just as it did for any industrialized nation. You are a blithering idiot.

They examined 9 studies and have the same basic conclusion I offered, The stimulus helped, it could have been better and it didn't hurt at all.

The elephant in the room remains the 15 trillion the fed lent out without the knowledge of congress and that also had a huge stimulus effect.

I'm not "going" with anything, I am pointing out how many jobs were saved, Does that offend you in some manner? Are you accusing me of playing a pity card somehow, because people lives were not ruined by getting their job eliminated? Is that dirty-pool in your world?

Housing crisis caused by fraudulently labeled mortgage securities are not cyclical, they are George Bush's legacy.

Again, I am paying now and I will pay in the future and the mandate ensures that those who are not paying now will pay in the future, that is the only way to make the insurance pool model work and that is to make everyone who can pay into it, pay. No more free rides.

You make no sense at all. You have a broken system right now and you continue to defend it just because The Affordable Health Care Act is a democratic plan. People are not paying for insurance right now, they are getting treated right now and you and I are paying for it, right now and yet you want to pretend everything is just fine. It is incomprehensible.

No, "lets see what happens" was my way of being optimistic about a plan that will bring revenue streams into the system and apply them in a cost effective and efficient way. Way better than the mess we have. I'm already sold on Obama Care, I don't need to wait and see. You need to wait and see and see how wrong you are.

And you will get a fine if you don't pay into the system and why the hell shouldn't you? You pay no insurance, then break your pelvis skiing, rack about 200,000 in medical care bills, file bankruptcy and we are all left with your bill? Oh no, not anymore...

I'll tell you what, you are too busy watching people, you should concentrate on your job before you are fired.

I'm glad you want more tax cuts because more republicans will not be elected or reelected in the fall, because they, like you, simply do not get it, that or the programming in your head is too strong for you to overcome. But it doesn't matter, just keep pushing for more tax cuts, look at how great they worked so far.

It will be income based you idiot. Just like every-fucking-thing in the world is already...

That what is your solution, put them on the street? Reagan signed the law that said people have to be treated in the ER free of charge and spread the cost to the rest of us, go thank him.

Yes you do.. You did in this very thread:

And don't pretend you haven't complained about it in the past either.

So how has Obama made unemployment worse? What specifically did he do to put people out of work. You do realize this country was hemorrhaging jobs by the hundreds of thousand during the end of your messiah's term, yes?

Taken him to task with the softest of kid-gloves I'm sure.. And I'd be willing to bet these so called "criticisms" of yours were probably peppered with "Pelosi this", and "the Democrats that".

I don't dispute that.. Hopefully he'll do something about that next year..

Deflection noted.. And Obamacare isn't gender specific..

    Let's try one more time:

State issues by what party, and why?

    This time without deflecting..

    GO.
  18. mr wrong Full Member

Peculiar how? Because I don't fly his flag in my av, or refer to him by first name? My support for him is more genuine than yours. You support without question whatever nominee has an "R" after their name. And that's "R", as in Rino in this case.. And let's not forget, that this is the guy you had all those "unflattering" things to say about, remember? I imagine all those have long been swept under the rug by now, never to be spoken about again..

You get behind the party, not a candidate.

Insane in that it has no chance of ever seeing the light of day, and he knows it.. But that's not the insanity I'm talking about, and you know it.. Many examples are in this very thread.. Go re-read JT's, and my post again..

I've seen vacates bullshit for years now, what he does is get behind a thick wall of partisan-stoopidity, built of right-wing talking points and demagoguery.

    Disgusting.

And he doesn't listen to Rush either, none of rabid right-wingers on SFN do. Its interesting, they would rather bite a cyanide capsule than admit listening to that drug-addled pedophile but they regurgitate his talking points daily, like good little sheep.

    Outrageous.

poor guy stepped in shit a few months ago saying he supports Mitt now he's not man enough to admit he supports Obama and always has...so conflicted...so comical
  21. mr wrong Full Member

Where did I say I am supporting Obama? Link?

This coming from the hack who said "I will support whatever Republican gets the nomination".
  22. zimmie Full Member

:jj2::jj2: like it or not, 98% of your posts support Obama's policies, yet you're here telling everyone you support Romney...it's fun to watch

There is Obama and Obama-light.... (romney)
  24. zimmie Full Member

there's not much difference between the two, it's all splitting hairs and with a divided Congress, no matter what your flavor, nuttin gonna change
  25. mr wrong Full Member

So not one example, or link. Shocking.
