They're averaging 2 runs a game, that puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher knowing he's gotta be damn near perfect every outing. I don't know why Hamels would want to stay here, this guy would be a consistent 20 game winner if they ever scored runs for him.

Still want to give Hamels $200 million?

Couldn't watch the game, but highlights looked like Hamels had good stuff. He did strike out 9 guys and Marlins had alot of power righties. Still scoring only 2 runs you won't win many games.

Josh Johnson tomorrow so looks like I'm betting the Marlins.

If the Marlins cover you will say you are, if the Marlins dont cover, I am sure you wont bet it.

Depends what line is. If I can get +125 with Johnson its a no brainer.

If it is +125 Vegas needs its head examined. JJ is one of the best pitchers in baseball and right now the Phillies suck more balls then pussah.

How have the Phillies done in Philly so far this season?
  8. A.Lange=Crazy Full Member

One game the season is ove give me a break. You expect Phillies to be underdogs at home with Halladay.

    How bout them 76ers?

Looks like I will be able to add that to your prediction pile.

Nobody is giving Hamels $200 this year...he will sign for a little less than Lee....Ill take him...
  11. A.Lange=Crazy Full Member

After deal Cain got the price went way up. Hamels is younger than Lee. Just find it funny you bash the pitching which the other three starters were good besides Hamels who you want to give a huge contract too. I guess with bums like Harang you will overpay.
  12. Colon Cowboy Full Member

Cain will make $21.25 a year for 6 years, and Hamels will make "way more" than that?........I'm not bashing the pitching just saying it was provably a little early to say the Phillies had the best rotation in baseball.....
  13. A.Lange=Crazy Full Member

Hamels wants 10 years for $200 mill.

    What rotation is better?

Nobody is giving a pitcher 10 years....was going to say the Giants but just checked team avg. the Phils pitching is 1st in quality starts, 2nd in WHIP and 3rd in ERA...so never mind....lol
  15. A.Lange=Crazy Full Member

Johnson opens +125 like I expected. Guess its time to put your life savings on the Marlins.

New year, same thread...I love this place!
  17. epsagent Full Member

Problem is obvious, with out Utley and Howard, Pence will never see a pitch to hit...they are a sleeping lion until they get those two back.

    Offensive explosion!!!
  19. A.Lange=Crazy Full Member

So they can't hit the bums from Pittsburgh, but light up Johnson. Galvis got a huge hit with a 2 run double after intentionally walking Ruiz. Doc looked shaky early like usual, but lights out after that.

Blanton tomorrow so hopefully the bats carry over.

Mets give Cliff Lee first loss of the year, without David Wright in the lineup. How great was that first inning?
