You can't be serious, about ratings not meaning shit.
  2. Quivertine HATER

TNA wins this round, hands down. RAW was an abortion from the word go.
  3. Rockym1 Full Member

Your right I thought he had a short reign as ECW champ before he left the WWE.
  4. Ultra Warrior Full Member

It means something to the sponsors & the stations airing the shows but it doesn't mean ones product is BETTER than the other. Just shows that more tuned in for it ( & tonight RAWs been pretty BAD for the most part ) & they will still have bigger ratings.
  5. Ultra Warrior Full Member

Drew vs Matt was average at best, Taker vs Swagger was ok, this 6 man tag match was decent ( Though Trips just HAD to get the pinfall. Selfish prick ) but the rest of RAW was horrible.
  6. RLM6370 Full Member

    Ok

Looked like Edge hurt himself. He could barely walk as they went off the air.

Thought and said often that RVD sucked and was overated back in WWE and even back in the original ECW and still do. Nothings changed, he botches moves constantly, has ZERO mic skills, cant throw a punch, refuses to be a heel because it hurt tshirt sales and as for people chanting for him. They were and are the same people who chanted W O R M.

it would still beat TNA in the ratings
  10. Ultra Warrior Full Member

Think I already established that in a previous post on this page already.

    Ratings winner of course WWE.

    Better show tonight TNA.

Every true wrassling fan should want TNA to do well as this will in turn make the WWE put on a better product.

Should be rounded up and shot on site... A low point for me in wrestling for sure...
  13. jasondylan Full Member

There was a time when the original ECW had the most entertaining show every week. Im sure they didnt get higher than a .4-.5 rating. Ratings dont mean shit.
  14. ndhalogod Full Member

My biggest problem was TNA giving away RVD vs. Hardy and RVD vs. Styles on free tv, on the same nite. To what end? To pop a 0.9?
  15. Pussah2 Full Member

Raw had some decent moments but overall it was written last minute due to the volcanoes. Good to see Lillian.

I agree. They gave up 2 PPV quality main events on the same night. They did make a big deal out of the RVD title win whcih was cool. but they could have built this to be much more important

Do you really want to compare the quality of matches on WWE PPVs versus TNA's overall? Really?

You are absolutely right about this. An ok match (lots of offense by Swagger), but they should have had a countout finish or something.

I really hope Swagger goes over Orton at Extreme Rules (but I doubt he will).

Way to understand the wrestling business.

If ratings don't mean shit, why did TNA move to Monday nights?

Next you'll tell me that PPV buys don't mean shit either.

    Take off the blinders.

Various sites are reporting that JR has met with TNA Officials including Dixie within the last week about possibly coming to TNA. His WWE Contract expires at end of the month and the WWE has no plans to use him as a announcer going forward. This would be a soild pickup for TNA, Would really enhance their TV Product because of the passion and emotion JR Brings plus him and Tazz work great together. I will see JR Tomorrow at Cauliflower Alley Banquet so I will take a shot and ask him whats next

When my less serious about wrestling friends watch TNA, literally the first or second criticism is always that the broadcast sounds "cheesy."

Tenay is fine as a 3rd announcer/2nd color guy, but he just isn't lead pbp material. JR would instantly enhance their entire product and is an easy hire for TNA, imo.
  21. Mynd4life Full Member

I think JR May be using the TNA Meetings as leverage in trying to work out new deal with WWE BUT if Vince has made up his mind and has no plans for JR to announce any time soon and with TNA ready to throw him a bunch of money for WAY less schedule then its a no brainer for him to take the deal. Tenay could go back to being the Professor in a 3 man booth if need be. JR would arguably be one of their biggest gets as it would give their tv product passion and believability to a point which they don't have with Tenay calling matches

Do we even know what JRs physical condition is? I cant believe the WWE wouldnt want him back if he was healthy enough to work. It seems the one thing every WWE fan or critic can agree on is that Cole is an abortion in the booth. Not Tenay level of shitty but pretty shitty non the less. And I know the King has been pretty much neutered since he had to swallow his pride and come back after the divorce but you would think he would want his best friend back. As for the "way less schedule" of TNA. JR would only be working 5 days a month. How "way less" could it be?

I wouldnt be surprised to hear that Vince would let JR talk to TNA just for recon purposes. "Business Vince" is more evil than any "Mr McMahon" character could ever be written.
  23. Pussah2 Full Member

Vince would be an asshole to let JR just go to TNA. Maybe Russo beings in retarded Oklahoma again from WCW lore

I'll have a better understanding today or tomorrow after I go check out the CAC here this week. JR Got in last night and will be around today and tomorrow and Stone Cold will be there tomorrow to present JR his CAC Award. I saw DiBiase yesterday he had the original Million Dollar Belt complete with old school WWF belt bag. That thing was heavier than I envisioned it to be. He said after talking to his son that they just want to make it back in time for the PPV now that they have just been relaxing taking it easy past couple of days waiting around for flights to start leaving. Harley Race looks awful in his motorized scooter. He is skinny as hell now too. Bockwinkle looked ok after his recent heart surgery. Sunny and Dawn Marie were there and were super friendly and personable. More guys expected to show up today and for sure tomorrow at the banquet. Hope to see/talk to JR. I'll report what he looks and sounds like if I do see/talk to him

JR has a good mind and would be a nice addition to TNA. I would still love to see Heyman in there though.. He brings alot to the table as well.
