Open it in browser directly, www.siriusxm.com/player.

Select a channel and minimize entire browser to task bar.

Leave alone. It will play for 8 hours or more without interuption.

As soon as you expand the window/browser, the whole thing will crash.

When you do open the window, it does this weird effect where it flashes all of the song titles from the time it began one after another until it gets up to current time and then recieves an error. Just logout, then back in.

Let us know how it works for you.

What OS and browser are you using? The POS still times out for me every 90 minutes.

    IE on Windows 7.

Screensaver- Bubbles set to turn on 4 minutes

Power settings: Dim display after 15 minutes.

Also, I use Spyware Terminator which has a security function where it asks for manual permission to allow each action.

Perhaps it is the Terminator which blocks the 'timeout' from occuring.

    Good luck

Wow - thanks. I'm going to try it now.

It makes me crazy when it goes off so often.

I finally figured out that it is the Flash update which causes the auto-shut off. I uninstalled the latest Flash player, and attempted to install an older version.

However, my system would not allow an older Flash to be installed.

So.... you have to do a System Restore and return your computer to an earlier date prior to the latest Flash update.

Go to Control Panel and look for System and Security, then choose Backup and Restore.

Now the Sirius player plays all day as long as it is minimized in the tray. Most importantly, don't update Flash player again.

I made a 89-minute long MP3 file which is silent until the end, when it makes some subtle noise to remind me Sirius is about to time-out. So when I hear that noise I pause and unpause the Sirius streaming app to reset its time-out clock and pull the playback slider for the MP3 back to 0:00 and let it run. Repeat.
