    Wasted their time on another bill that has no shot in the House.

    Not all that long ago Obama said that raising taxes on anyone was a bad idea and would lead us into a recession since the economy was so bad.... Maybe he thinks the economy is really humming along now :jj2:

    The bill was voted on, according to Reid, so that everybody would know where individual members of the senate stand. Constitutionally, the bill is meaningless. All tax bills must originate in the House.
    But, by doing this vote, it puts heat on the House members of the GOP by exposing them as the only thing standing between extending the tax cuts to the middle class.
