No, Its a valid question ....... Truth be told, I do not care how a person conducts their life.....What they do with their own time, on their own dime is absolutely none of my business ...But, when a person begins to demand that society accept their behavior ... and, in some instances, demand that taxpayers foot the bill (in a variety of ways) for such behavior ..Thats where I must draw the line......Behave how you want to behave, but no one has any right to tell the rest of society what to believe, or that they must change their value system just to accommodate a fringe part of society ....I am firm believer that part of the vicious slide towards the "bad" that this country has taken is, in part, due to the erosion of the family and the roll the mother AND father should be playing in a childs life....No one will ever be able to convince me that its not necessary for a child (female or male) to have equal influence from male and female parental figures....... This is not to suggest that a gay couple wouldn't be able to do a better job at child-raising than a conventional mother/father team. But, again, I believe that would be the exception and not the rule .....And I refuse to alter my belief structure when it comes to the best interest of kids, soley to make a small, fringe part of society feel legitimized .... We ALL have things in life that we REALLY want or would like to do.....But, most of us learned when we were small children that we cant get everything our heart desires...It seems that a sizeable part of the gay community has forgotten (or missed) that part of their upbringing
