Yup, what a typical schmuck this guy is. He's failing us in Iraq, on the borders, and with his comrades.

Wish I had wrote in Tom Tancredo, Wolfowitz, or Michael Savage

Patrick Lang (click on the quicktime) talking about why outing Valerie Plame's career as an agent is not just a crime but has certain ramifiacations when dealing with people around the world.
When you have people in the white house who commit crimes with no regard to who may be harmed - as long as they "protect" their policies - you now have people who don't inspire loyalty or confidance from people living outside this country who no longer want to work with CIA agents.
All of Plame's contacts are in danger. and as she got no protection from members of her own government, no one else should expect any respect either!

my point as related to your post?
That you have to pick a president (and every other polititian) Very Very carefully. YOU are responsible for the horrible opinion the rest of the world thinks about the US government. Lives have been lost, lives are in danger, and some of those lives are IN the US and some are outside it. We can't be proud of ourselves if we let shitheads fuck things up.

Thank you for admitting that here, duke. Now, if we could only turn back time. :(

As the choices were Bush, Kerry or Nader, I'd say I have no regrets. I regret many of his choices, such as spending and border control, but not for voting for him.
  7. Pussah Guest

With Kerry as the only other choice, Bush was the right one.

Bush had fucked things up so horribly by the time the election for his second term came around, it didn't really matter who won. Voting for that idiot in 2000 should be the more regrettable choice.

I voted Bush, pretty hard defending some of his recent decisions though. The midterm elections will be an interesting measure of how many other people have regreted their Bush vote. For the countrys sake, I hope he gets back on track.

I heard Rice actually say this - and this is the only "track" this group was ever interested in. war for profit.

60 minutes report of the treason commited by this administration

they are willing to commit crimes to further their ends. is this what you think this country is about? would Washington, Jefferson, Adams, etc be proud of this?
I know I'm not. it makes very angry. they don't represent me. they don't represent the constitution. they aren't even human.

Is that the dead people in Iraq, that he would not have pulled out by now or the dead people in this country where another major terrorist attack would have occurred.
  13. enki_25 Full Member

Yes, possibly one of those "10 foiled terrorist plots" this WH worked SO HARD to protect us from, right?

Remember the worst terrorist attack in our history happened on George's watch. And you trust him to defend you?

the only thing that keeps me from completely regretting bush is that i dislike kerry more. anyway it's all crap, none of these guys would make much of a difference in our personnel lives. as the who said "meet the new boss same as the old boss"
as example of the ineptitude or non caring of the polititians is that we've known there has been gas shortages since the seventies and no one has ever done anything to really look into an alternative, or real conservation. if we had a real alternative and were energy independant the arabs would have no hold over us.

The only reason you dislike Kerry is because you paid too much attention to the smear the Pres put out to get elected.

Obviously, not all Presidents would lead the same way. His decisions don't directly effect our lives, but to say his decisions are irrelevant to us is the worst kind of ignorance.
  17. Pussah Guest

I can't defend Bush anymore but of everything I believe in the war on terrorism. I want out of iraq too, but it will be a civil war and would be the worst thing we could ever do. This would make us look like gutless cowards and would even be a bigger recruting tool than the war itself.

The only way we can pull out is when Iraq grows a set of balls and starts defending themselves.

The war was Cheney's idea anyway. And even though everyone hates him, Karl Rove is the smartest man in America. He got Bush reelected in an overwhelming fashion

Overwhelming fashion? It was a few percentage points!!! And let's cut it with this Karl Rove is the smartest man in America crap. Yes, he's probably the best political hitman you can find, and he's also one of the most ruthless assholes around.

Where's the accountability? You don't regret voting for Bush but you admit Iraq is a mess that we can't get out of (quagmire).

And Iraq having balls has nothing to do with it, of course. It's a systemic issue, either they have the resources to police themselves or they don't. Bush said we wouldn't be in the business of nation-building. Again, where's the accountability?

Please, help me understand, what ONE thing has Bush done that has advanced our "war on terror"? Do us all a favor and don't say it's Iraq after you've already admitted the situation is a mess.
