hypothetically the asset backed loans should have been safer because the banks take possestion of the assets (houses) but they didnt expect the asset prices all to fall at once...thats why i say it wont implode anywhere close to the same way.

Halliburton is a for-profit corporation. They do business with many people and entities, the US Gov't being one of them. The gov't did not "make them rich". Being a successful private-sector company did that.

The gov't taxing the rich isn't going to help Shaniqua to get out of the hood and into a middle class lifestyle, nor is it going to help you get the lifestyle you feel you deserve but couldn't achieve on your own.
